Wednesday, August 3rd

Lunch was the Boca Burger from Red Robin.
Word on the street is that the typical vegan dinner consists of 1/3 grain (brown rice, polenta, quinoa, whole wheat bread); 1/3 veggies (whatever is on sale/in season) 1/3 protein (beans, tofu). So that's what I had tonight -- Rice, Zucchini & Soy Curls.
White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake from Vegan Treats via Loving Hut.
Ketel One Oranje = Orange-flavored Vodka. Made in Holland (I just found out today).

I've never tried the Boca Burger at Red Robin - did you enjoy it? Orange vodka brings me back to my college days - when my Friday nights consisted of dropping a shot of one in red bull and downing it. Ehh. I have far less stamina now - suggestions on less colleg-y ways of drinking it?

Now "Red Robin, Yum!" is going to be in my head all night. I didn't know they had a vegan burger, but then again I don't know of one near here.

That cheesecake is calling my name.

Nice job with the balanced dinner :) The zucchini looks great. And obviously the cheesecakes looks yummy. We just had a Red Robin open up near us...within 3 steps of a Chipotle and about 5 minutes from PF Changs. So many places to try!

I haven't been to Red Robin in a while. Seeing your burger makes me think that I just may be paying them a visit this weekend!

That cheesecake looks mighty tasty!

So your dinner is sort of a deconstructed veggie burger! Very clever. Both burgers look yummy.

I need to try out your rule of thirds. That is some seriously good looking zucchini. It's so common, mine always seems bland.

Hey Now!!!

Jesse, sometimes Red Robin meals are occasionally too high in sodium, but yesterday's was very good. How come my adult beverages remind my readers of their high school/college days????

Molly, there are quite a few Red Robins in Wisconsin, but I'm not sure how close you are to them.

VaVa, stick w/PF Changs & Chipotle. They're healthier.

FF, yes, I follow the new pie chart nutritional guideline. Forget that confusing old pyramid.

Vegan Goddess, are you watching me?!

Michelle2, it was a pretty great meal. Aren't you the one that got me into Red Robin in the first place?

Deb, quite a few Red Robins in Utah, but, again, I don't think it's quite your style.

Rose, it was a pretty great food day.

Jessica, I agree, Zucchini is bland, but I've had good luck with it this summer. Don't know why.
