TJ's Cream Cheese with Strawberry Jam on a toasted Ezekiel English Muffin for breakfast...
Gardein Teriyaki Chicken Strips for lunch...
Found these Field Roast Burgers a couple weeks ago...
I was all excited about them till Mr. SVegetarian alerted me to the calorie and fat counts (I just noticed the sodium as well)...
Each Burger is the equivalent of eating almost five Boca Burgers. So it's like I ate ten Boca Burgers plus Fries for dinner. The Field Roast Burgers are excellent, but I think I will be able to stick with Boca and Gardein (130 calories each)...
Even though I am not full in the least, no dessert tonight. Bye for now.

Cream cheese and jam was a favorite as a kid, its a great combo.
Did you add the random scallion at lunch or do the strips come with it?
And yeah, field roast needs to work on those burgers- the second ingredient is oil?? Weird. I like the veggie burgers that taste more like veggies or beans vs the chewier wheat gluten versions. I got sick of hating all the storebought versions and once in a while i have a fit and just make like two dozen and freeze them.

I have seen the gardein teriyaki strips, but that is one flavor I haven't tried. Are they good? The burgers do look super good, but too many calories!!

I thought the burgers tasted great -- as lots of fat and salt should -- but it was really expensive and high in calories/fat. I probably won't buy them again, either.

Wow that is some intense nutrition info for a veggie burger! Where does all of that fat come from?! Breakfast looks great and I don't think I've ever seen that flavor of Gardein. Sounds great!

Hey Now!!!!

Unknown, I had some extremely dried up Scallions in the fridge. Since they came in handy for yesterdays lunch photo, I am now trying to resurrect them in some water. I am guessing you use a Mark Bittman recipe for your Veggie Burgers?

VP, the Teriyaki Gardien is just so so. You would be better off just buying a bottle of Teriyaki Sauce at the Asian Market rather than using the packet of Sauce that comes with the frozen Chickn Strips.

Jared, the Field Roast Burgers definitely tasted great and didnt make me feel yucky from all the fat and salt. Maybe the nutrition numbers are wrong and they will revise them. We can only hope.

Sarah, I wish Mr. SV hadnt pointed out the calories to me or I would eat the Field Roast Burgers all the time now.
