Sunday, October 12th

Breakfast was at  True Food Kitchen. I thought a Green Drink would help rejuvenate me after yesterdays road trip so I tried the 'Kale-Aid' $6 Kale, Apple, Cucumber, Celery, Lemon and Ginger. This was more fruity tasting then I was anticipating. Doubt I will get it again...
Last week I swore to only eat half of my 'Tofu Sramble Wrap' $9 next time I was at TFK, but the Wrap was so good this morning, I couldnt stop at half...
Got an 'Autumn Ingredient Salad' $12 to bring home for dinner. Brussel Sprouts, Squash, Mulberry, White Bean, Pomegranate, Caulflower, Sweet Potatoes and Horseradish Vinaigrette. Like the Kale-Aid, this combo of ingredients didnt work for me, plus I touched my eye after touching the Horseradish Dressing and that was unpleasant, but others may enjoy this Salad..although I seriously doubt it...
A 22 Days PB & Chocolate Bar for dessert...
More healthy grub coming up tomorrow. Bye for now.

Awesome looking stuff today! Apple does make juices pretty sweet but you would think the celery and cucumber would tone it down. Looks amazing in any case. I like that they added ice. Room temp juices are no fun.
The Autumn salad sounds great too! mulberries, white bean, Brussels, and sweet potato are some of my favorite ingredients. Interesting horseradish dressing though.

The Kale Aid is the only item I've tried from True Food. There is something less enticing about the salad, so I can empathize "visually". However, I'm liking the scramble wrap...

P.S. Yesterday's post and picture of the beach, absolutely beautiful! And yes, keep driving to have lunch with Mom! I need stability and predictability, like my weekly guesses! ;)

So many places make green juice that is too sweet so that the people who actually don't like green juice yet order it don't get upset... But they're dumbing it down! The combo sounds good but they probably just got the proportions wrong.
I can't imagine leaving half of that wrap on my plate either.
That does sound like a kind of whacky lets toss this in too salad combo...but yeah, sometimes that doesn't work out so well. And no rubbing salad dressing in your eyes!! Owchie!
Those bunnies make good bars.

My culinary adventure today included coconut vodka. I recommend it iced, mixed with coconut milk, lime, and a late afternoon nap.

Everything looks great today!! I prefer my green juices to have a fruity taste to it so I think I would like the kale aid! The salad sounds great but I can see how some of the infredients may but work (I'm thinking the mulberries?). Definitely can't go wrong with that wrap, it looks incredible!

Hey Now!!!!

FF, I was gonna say the Salad was like something you would make. You would probably use Hummus as a dressing, but I dont think even that would have helped.

Ingrid, True Food Kitchen is getting progressively more crowded so I can see how you would just opt for a juice and hightail it out of there. I am seeing my Mom on Friday, but i dont think there will be time for lunch.

Unknown, think they could have left the Apple out of the Green Juce entirely? i think so. I havent bought flavored Vodkas in a long time cuz they have a lower ABV. However, we have established that you are a lightweight, so that wouldnt be a concern for you. The drink you describe belongs on a white sandy beach, not a brisk autumn day.

Sarah, at least I felt more energetic after it all. Dr. Andrew Weil might actually be on to something.
