Breakfast was the 'Tofu Scramble Wrap' at True Food Kitchen....
'Tofu Reuby' from The Randy Radish for dinner...
Also from The Randy Radish, half a 'Midnight Rhapsody' for dessert...

I'm overly curious about the side of saucy beans- is it like a soup or are they just in beany liquid you don't want to eat? That wrap looks delicious as always.
Nice looking sammich there- randy isn't shy with the kraut! Was dessert like a muffin brownie hybrid? It does look super chocolatey.

Somehow vending machines have never appealed to me (no, i'm lying. Vending machines in europe are awesome), but then again i am a snack packing professional with a drawer of more delicious options and likely something in my handbag too....

True Food is the new Harriman/LPQ! ;)

So now that you've had the Native Foods Reuben (have a second one to really fairly assess it!), do you think the thick slices of tofu are better than the thin sliced seitan? I know you prefer a heartier kraut.

Is that a huge thing of salsa on the side with the sandwich? Or is that soup?

Oooh great food day! Your weekend brunches never disappoint! And although I don't like Reuben's yours always look amazing! Dessert is back with a vengeance, that looks great!

Hey Now!!!!

Unknown, the Beans are kinda like Baked Beans but not sweet. I spoon them on the Wrap while I eat it. The dessert was totally a Muffin/Brownie hybrid. Extremely intense. You could start up one of those vegan snack box businesses;-). Althoug, if i kept snacks in my desk I would eat them all. Same reason I cant pack my lunch. i never saw a vending machine in Europe. Did you see them in office buildings in Europe? I would like to go back in time and experience an NYC Automat.

VP, True Food Kitchen makes an excellent Tofu Scramble Wrap. I am wondering if I should start following Dr. Andrew Weil based on my experiences at his restaurant.

Ingrid, it pains me to say it, but the Sandwich I got at Native Foods was not a Reuben. You have been grievously mislead. I hope one day you get to experience the real thng -- the Tofu/Seitan thing wont be an issue.

FF, it is a soupy Bean concoction with the Tofu Scramble Wrap. It actually works out pretty well. Sure, i would rather have Potatoes, but I am sure I feel better with Beans.

Sarah,

We crossed wires. I still think of you when I see the Dolmas. That is amazing how much you like them.
