Friday, May 24th

An Organic Fuji Apple and Two Energy Bites for breakfast. Great food choice I made for myself.
Lunch was at La Sandia. I had a Margarita De La Casa in honor of VaVa, who is always wanting a Margarita, but never having one. Observe the escalator in the mall in the background.
Mom & I shared some great Chips & Salsa...
and the Guacamole made fresh table-side was the best we'd ever had...
I had the Market Fresh Vegetable Fajitas. All really excellent.
Field Roast Celebration Roast with Imagine Mushroom Gravy and Baked Potatoes for dinner.
No dessert after all that.  Looking forward to the long weekend.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If there was ever a meal I saw on someone else's blog that I wanted to shove in my face immediately it would be your lunch, margarita and all! That meal looks seriously delicious from the margarita to that gorgeous guac to those yummy looking fajitas! So jealous.

Looking forward to holiday weekend eats!

I am stealing your breakfast from today! Just found those nuggets from a store with a higher turnover so they arent rock hard....
Lunch looks amazing- especially the salty rim margarita!! No watermelon there? (Sandia=watermelon in english). The guac has nice chunkiness- i'm weirded out when its pureed smooth like hummus. And generous with the veggies?? Looks pretty great for mall mexican.

Dang. Life is too short NOT to drink a margarita, and that one looks great. The fajita looks amazing too, green sauce and all! Not sure why I never order it.
Funny you point out the elevator in the background! The malls here never have awesome restaurants like that. For some reason I always picture your restaurants as freestanding, like in a strip mall or something. Weird.

Hey Now!!!

VaVa, I saw the Cookie Dough Ice Cream today, but I couldn't buy any because by the time I got home it would've been Cookie Dough Soup. So bummed.

Molly, we don't have much in the way of good Mexican grub in the area like you Sheboygans do. La Sandia is one of the few good places.

Unknown, ha! It's so funny that the 'Energy Bites' are really just like the Two Moms In The Raw 'Truffles'. I enjoy them more as 'Energy Bites'. I wondered why there was a picture of a Watermelon at the restaurant. It was really great Mall Mexican.

FF, from your fingers to VaVa's eyes. Yeah, we have some major malls in this area and my Mom's favorite restaurants tend to be in malls: CPK, Cheesecake Factory, PF Changs, Brio, Wildfire, La Sandia, Legal Seafoods...

Aaahahaha! Loving your SWISH about the tendency for people to say "I soooo want that" about things they'll never eat. Giggle.
