WTF Tuesday

Pumpkin Waffles for breakfast...Still great.
Some Mushroom Tofu off yesterdays hot bar from WF's. Really delicious, so I doubt they'll ever have it again.
Hazelnut Cranberry Roast En Croute with Imagine Mushroom Gravy and Brussels Sprouts for dinner.
An ENTIRE Individual Pineapple Upside Down Cake $1.99 from Dawson's Market for dessert.
And that's that.

Isn't the point of "individual" treats that you can eat all of it?? my understanding of economics is also very bad but shouldn't WF WANT to provide tasty meals to the people? Or is that the socialist in me?

Pumpkin waffles still look great! WFs does have that bit of tease in them when they introduce great dishes, get you hooked and never have them again. Hopefully this one will appear again! I agree with the previous sentiments the first time you posted the pineapple cake that they only thing missing is the cherry!

My question is, will the Hazelnut Roast ever be less than $17.99? They should have a sample tray out so I can try it before handing over nearly half of my weekly grocery budget over.

Where are the kitties? Pups? Fowl? ;)

We've been frustrated with that, too- finding something delicious only to never see it again. Such a bummer.

That pineapple upside down cake looks like a perfect portion. I don't blame you for eating the entire thing!

Although mushrooms are such a cliche vegan/veg option i do love them... (Lame omni restaurant "vegetarian pasta" is another story) two out of three meals with mushroom is a great start! Chinatown has these big scary mushrooms that are ivory colored with fat stems that you eat too- i roast them with a bit of soy sauce and sesame oil. Good stuff.

Compared to your fork that individual pineapple cake could also be described a large peti-four.
And, haha i would love to have my own blog but my nutso work schedule and uninteresting meals- chia pudding, green juices / smoothies and soy mistos from starbucks are my basic food groups- (plus technology hates me!) have put that idea on hold indefinatly...

Hey Now!!!!

FF, your questions are way too deep for me. I honestly don't know the answers to any of them. I just like eating good grub.

VaVa, the lack of the Cherry on the Pineapple Upside Down Cake is really disconcerting. I hope they were there and someone ate them off before I bought them.

Ingrid, the Field Roast En Croute is worth the $17.99. I am so sorry. I will try to get critter pics this weekend.

Molly, it's always the best vegan stuff that they get you hooked on and then never have again.

Unknown, I think those are called Oyster or King Mushrooms? I've seen them at the Asian maket. Sounds like you have a great blog already. Smoothies and Chia Pudding FTW!
