Saturday, December 8th

This morning I made a batch of the Pumpkin Waffles from VWAV. They were just like this recipe, except without the two TBSPs of Soy Yogurt.
Then we had to high-tail out to lunch, so I took a piece to enjoy in the car. It was quite tasty.
Lunch was 75 miles Northeast to Clarksville, Maryland. Great Sage is about a once-a-year treat for us, but it is well worth the trip. We shared the Spinach & Artichoke Dip $10 to start...
and I had the Tempeh Reuben $11...
Mr. SV had the Autumn Chili (that's Quinoa and Cornbread in it) $14. We both wish this place would open other locations so we could enjoy such finely made vegan cuisine all the time.
Boca Chikn Patties with Broccoli for dinner.
I picked up a couple Great Sage desserts to go, but I was too stuffed to enjoy them tonight.

Vegan spinach & artichoke dip?! Yes, that place needs to become a chain throughout the states, IMO.

I'm glad to see you're enjoying the waffle iron. I've never had pumpkin waffles but must remedy that.

Wow 75 miles is quite a trip but it definitely seems worth it!! That dip and sandwich look delicious and their menu really looks beautiful! It definitely sounds like a nice place to go for a special meal.

Aren't the pumpkin waffles delicious?! How great that you made them, yours look really good!

Can't wait to see what desserts you picked up from the restaurant!

Yum! What a delicious day! I've not made pumpkin waffles, mostly plain or blueberry. Will check out the link!

Great Sage looks so good. Between the appetizer and the sandwich, I'd certainly be in foodie heaven! Can't wait to see their desserts.

75 miles one way? Wow, must be worth it. It certainly is a great looking lunch. I also like the bowl that the chili was served in.

Hey Now!!!!

VaVa, thanks so much for the Pumpkin Waffle recipe suggestion. I really liked that it didn't call for any ingredients I didn't already have.

Ingrid, Blueberry Waffles are on my agenda.

Miss Rachel, yep, 75 long hard miles. What is my problem?
