Saturday, December 1st

Breakfast was at Busboys and Poets again. I enjoyed the Tofu Scramble $10. Every component was top notch.
Since we were so close to D.C., we went into the District and got some carryout grub for future meals from Everlasting Life Cafe. We each got small Rising Sun Smoothies for the bumpy ride back home.
Gardein Holiday Roast with Steamed Broccoli for dinner.
Gingerbread Cake from Vegan Treats via Loving Hut for dessert. Not their best work but I ate it all anyway.
Mr. SV says we ate enough today and we don't need to go to lunch tomorrow. I disagree. Who's will will prevail?

I love the dashboard shot with some bonus DC scenery. The cake looks beautiful but I'm more of a vanilla and/or chocolate cake person myself.

You seriously landed yourself the perfect breakfast. That's what a weekend breakfast should look like. I need a tofu scramble in my life right now.

I'm with Miss Rachel, I really like the dashboard shot of the smoothie. The smoothie looks yummy and pretty and we get to see a little scenery too!

Sad that the gingerbread cake wasn't all that impressive. It looks really good and gingerbread is so delicious, I would have high expectations for it! I should make some gingerbread because now I'm in the mood for it...

I think you'll prevail ;)

Well, the cake sure looks good. Too bad the taste didn't equal the looks. Your breakfast looks awesome.

I have a feeling Mr. SV will give into going out for lunch. :)

I miss that rising sun smoothie! I'm glad you continue the tradition. Looks as good as ever.
I also really like the name of Busboys and Poets. Sounds like the New York scene.

(Guilty as charged) i do lurk/read more than comment...!
Now that is a breakfast to get excited about- tofu scramble always tastes better when someone else makes it.
I had an amazing smoothie today too- a crazy mix of sweet potato, carrots, coconut meat, almond milk and spicy cinnamon, tho is was nearly $9. Stupid nyc prices
Hope your other treats are better than the gingerbread cake

I would like to relive your Saturday. Busboys and Poets have really created a fantastic scramble plate.

I wish the juice /smoothie joint I've come to frequent weekly would have something similar to the Rising Sun. I'm looking forward to your carryout selections!

I think lunch will prevail.

That scramble looks scrumptious and the cake looks yummy too; to bad it wasn't quite up to par.

Hey Now!!!

Miss Rachel, not much I'd consider 'scenery' in D.C. but I do try to mix things up a little. Thanks for the appreciation.

VaVa, I did indeed prevail. We enjoyed lunch out (although Mr. SV picked the location).

Molly, yep, long-suffering Mr. SV consented to lunch out today. He loves all Rice dishes, so it wasn't too horrible for him.

FF, I think recreating a Rising Sun Smoothie is just a lost cause. It can't be done. The Busboys and Poets clientelle is probably what you would find in Park Slope.

Unknown, you drank a Sweet Potato Smoothie and didn't post it on the internet!? Time to create 'The Unknown Vegan @ Blogspot.Com'. Then I can lurk on your blog and not comment.

GFHTummy, 'my fella' agreed to go to lunch! Yay me!

Ingrid, I'm sure your Smoothies are much healthier. The Rising Sun tastes extremely decadent. I dare say, possibly even non-vegan!

Rose, lunch out FTW! Worked out really well cuz we didn't over do it. Yeah, the cake was really awful. Poo!
