Saturday, December 15th

Got up and out early today to hit all the stores (Big Lots, TJ Maxx, Target) in search of good Christmas Stocking Stuffer items. Was a big bust and I was starving by the time I got home. Wolfed down a Hummus on a Bagel and then passed out for the rest of the afternoon.
Hazelnut Cranberry Roast En Croute with Imagine Mushroom Gravy and Fingerling Potatoes for dinner.
No dessert, just lots of Vodka. Hoping to hit a restaurant tomorrow.

For me, shopping always leads to hunger and the desire for alcohol consumption (although I rarely do, wah), especially around this time of year. I can totally understand where you are coming from. Sorry you had no luck with the shopping but the meals look great. That bagel looks seriously delicious.

haha you shop like i shop---hardcore shopping *usually unsuccessful* and then pass out

i hope the bagel was a good consolation?! :)

I give you a lot of credit for braving the stores! Too bad it was a bust, though. Do you have stockings for all of the furry family members? I can imagine that would take a very long mantel.....

The bagel looks awesome. It's been a long time since i had one. I am really dreading holiday shopping and am way behind schedule. :(

Shopping usually requires a nap for me, too. Do you have stockings for the indoor animals? I've not had one for Remy, but he usually gets one treat.

I've been bitten by the bagel desire lately, too.

I'm reminded that I have Rice Nog, and am out of rum. Must remedy that.

Hey Now!!!

VaVa, it was a great Bagel. I was so starving by the time I got home, I practically pushed the entire thing in my mouth at once.

GFHTummy, yes, I was all ready to stimulate the economy with some green but no goodies met my rigorous gift giving demands.

Molly, no, no Stockings for my Fur Babies. I don't even have a mantel. We have a wood stove that would probably incinerate any fabric placed near it.

FF, I am so behind in my Christmas shopping, I might actually have to make those Sugary Mixed Nuts that you made.

Ingrid, no, I've never done a stocking for the fur babies. I try to make every day Christmas for them. Seriously. I spoil them as rotten as can be. I also intend to have some Ingrid Style Nog with Rum before 2012 is over.
