Monday, September 3rd

Eggless Egg Salad Wrap $5.29 at The Common Market for breakfast/ lunch. I went there hoping for Tofu Scramble on the hot bar, but I guess it's only a weekend thing.
Leftover pasta from Friday's lunch out (the Basil Leaf survived!) with Wildwood Foods Meatless Meatballs. These were the worst meatballs ever. I do not recommend.
A piece of Brownie Supreme Cake from Vegan Treats via Loving Hut for dessert.
Coming up tomorrow: Back to work, so away-from-home grub will be enjoyed.

Oh man, that cake! I have such a weakness for the stuff, especially when it's vanilla.

Have you ever had Nate's meatballs? We like those, but they're the only ones we've had.

Let me just jump right to dessert for a sec. That cake looks outstanding! Was it as good as it looked? I seriously need to bake something soon!

Bummer about the crappy meatballs. The plate looked really pretty at least?

At least you know you can trust their Eggless Egg Salad; it looks pretty good.

Noted, not buying those balls.

I have 30 minutes for lunch, so I live vicariously through your midday excursions.

Hey Now!!!!

Molly, yes, I have a bag of Nate's in the freezer. They're like Trader Joe's. I much prefer that style.

VaVa, good point. You haven't been baking like you used to. The cake was very good, but not as good as the Hazelnut.

Ingrid, I did stock up on Eggless Egg Salad whilst there, so all was not lost. 30 minute lunch? It takes me that long just to go get my grub! I could never be a teacher.

GFHTummy, it was a beautiful piece of cake. I'm sure you'll see lots of equally gorgeous desserts in NYC.
