Friday, August 3rd

It has been almost an entire month since I've had the opportunity to partake of the most incredibly delicious sandwich on the planet: The Crispy Burger at Loving Hut. It was just as great today, if possibly even a tiny bit better, than it was last time .
Dinner was the Salad from yesterdays lunch out. I added Olives, Croutons and Goddess Dressing. It was great fixed up this way. The little white vegetable on the fork is a called a Heart of Palm.
Hazelnut Cake from Vegan Treats via Loving Hut for dessert.
Coming up tomorrow: More professionally prepared vegan cuisine.

What a perfect food day! That crispy burger looks soooooo good and the fries look perfect too. That salad kept well and your additions made it a nice hearty meal. I've never had hearts of palm but I've heard they are great. That chocolate hazelnut cake looks amazing like always!

Oooh where ya gonna go tomorrow? Such a cliffhanger ;)

This is one of my favorite looking days. If you had cheesecake instead of cake, it would have totally looked like a Jenny day of food.

Serious lunch envy! I don't know that I've ever had a crispy burger. That needs to be remedied. Loving Hut needs to visit Colorado!

Now that's a good Friday!

I've never had hearts of palm, but I'll be trying them when I get a chance.

Love the dessert and that sandwich does look spectaculicious.

This looks like a super delicious food day. I remember the first time I encountered hearts of palm. I was in a dark restaurant during my high school reunion weekend and was a bit um... tipsy. I had ordered a vegan meal and I thought the hearts were mozzarella string cheese. Fortunately the waiter was able to clarify that my salad was in fact vegan because those were hearts of palm. And they were good!

Hey Now!!!!

VaVa, you've never had Hearts of Palm? That's a shocker, what with your love of Dolmas

Mary, are you near any Loving Huts? I don't know your whereabouts.

Jenny, oh dang! I could have gone for a piece of the Cheesecake but went for the Hazelnut instead.

Ingrid, or you need to visit Grandma in Falls Church again!

Molly, I do hope you get to try Hearts of Palm. They're very pleasing.

Miss Rachel, ha! I remember being drunk in a dark restaurant once and seeing a crumpled up napkin in a cocktail glass on a waiter's tray. I asked to have 'one of those'. It was so embarrasing.

GFHTummy, I know! I don't know what I've done to deserve all this great grub I've been enjoying lately.

Well there's no hate for the hazelnut. It looks moist and yummy, and I've never had it.

I'm in Southern California. We have a Loving Hut but sadly ours does not have the delicious looking hazelnut cake yours does.
