Sunday, August 26th

Slept in late again, so breakfast was the Fried Dill Pickle Chips $4 at Clare and Don's Beach Shack.
Lunch was the Blackened Tofu Sandwich $8.50. Hi, Jenny! (She loves Blackened Tofu).
I recently bought a bag of White Bean Chili Mix from the grocery store clearance bin for $1.49.
I made it for dinner tonight and I have finally gotten wise to not using the entire seasoning packets in these prepackaged bean soups. It definitely would've been too spicy for me otherwise. As it was, I found it decent, but I think I'm just not a White Chili fan.
Pumpkin Mousse Cake from Vegan Treats for dessert. Very light and fluffy. Don't know how they do it.
Coming up tomorrow: Back to 1/4 piece of Danish and WFs for lunch.

Not sure how I feel about fried pickle chips for breakfast, no matter what time you ate...but the blackened tofu looks great.
White chili. Interesting concept. Are there grains in there as well?

I've never tried fried pickle chips but they sound kind of amazing. The sandwich looks really yummy, I could totally get behind that. The soup sounds great, and that's a great tip about not adding all the seasoning right off the bat.

PUMPKIN MOUSSE CAKE?!??! I want!!! I'm soooooo ready for pumpkin/fall!

Fried pickle chips - nice and salty! I've not experienced a white chili, perhaps I shouldn't?

Agreed on the pumpkin mousse - wow.

Hey Now!!!!

FF, no grains in the Chili. Just White Beans with Garlic, Onion, Green Pepper, TVP and Seasoning Packet.

VaVa, I think you would love Fried Pickles Although making them GF might be difficult.

GFHTummy, yeah, the Pumpkin Mousse Cake was even better than it looks and sounds. Vegan Treats really can churn out the excellent desserts.

Ingrid, I give everyone a pass on the White Chili. The concept is good. The actual Chili, not so much.

Jenny, guess I'm gonna be thinking of you now every time I eat Blackened Tofu.

Mmm, my girl, havin' pickles for breakfast - I like it! I wonder how spicy that chili is? I love spices in my food. That pumpkin mousse does look fluffy. It's got my mind thinking. Hope all is well!
