WTF Thursday

Kashi Cinnamon Harvest and Flaxseed Milk for breakfast.
A Daiya Cheese Sandwich on WF's Pretzel Bread. This was the Daiya Wedge and it melted quite well.
Veggie Chili carried out from Clare and Don's Beach Shack for dinner. Not the best Veggie Chili ever.
A Raspberry Bar from Natalia's Elegant Creations for dessert. Very tangy fruit with sugary topping.
Then I noticed some old Macaroni & Cheese from Everlasting Life Cafe in the refrigerator, so I had some of that. Cold.
Coming up tomorrow: 1/4 Danish for breakfast. A Groupon induced lunch out with Mom.

Macaroni is one of those cold or hot foods - either way, it's usually great. I'm a big fan of the Daiya wedge - just wish it wasn't $5 a package!

I am sending you "good chili" vibes. You're due a tasty batch between this and the white chili last week.

oh gosh, i love cold mac and cheese too! that bar looks delicious -- but sometimes too sugary things can be just "eeh." love the cereal too! have fun on your lunch date tomorrow:)

That sandwich is definitely the highlight of the day for me. It looks so good. Those Daiya cheese wedges are good, but so damn expensive. I only bought one once.

Funny, I had almost the exact same lunch for dinner. First time trying Daiya! The tomatoes are the best part though.

Ok that sandwich looks seriously amazing. I've never had the Daiya wedges but actually wondered how they were when I saw them hanging out in the Whole Foods fridge the other day. have you had it cold as is before? I am not a huge fan of the shreds unmelted but I wonder if the wedges taste better unmelted? Seriously though that sandwich looks perfect.

The raspberry bar looks yummy and cold mac and cheese is always a good idea :)

Have fun with your mom tomorrow!

Hey Now!!!

Ingrid, the Daiya wedge did well by me -- melted easily but not in too weird a way. Agreed on the Chili front -- the universe owes me some good Chili now.

GFHTummy, my Mom & I don't have as much fun together as you and your Mom. For instance, my Mom threated to start crying due to my 'reckless driving' en route to the restaurant.

Miss Rachel, you're the one who first alerted me to the Daiya wedges. I forgot to note that on the blog yesterday. The Daiya wedge has been in my fridge ever since your Daiya wedge post.

FF, why didn't you post your Daiya Sandwich dinner? Isn't Daiya in keeping with the FF 'brand'?

VaVa, cold vegan cheese has not been my friend in the past. I might get desparate enough to try it again though. Still doubtful Daiya would taste close to the real thing.
