WTF Wednesday

A Trader Joe's breakfast: British Muffins, Flax Seed Valencia Peanut Butter and Raspberry Preserves...Phenomenal!Lunch was an Yves Salami Sandwich on WF's Pretzel Bread with copious quantities of Vegenaisse. Again, awesome.

Boca Burgers with TJ's Veggie Chili and Baked Potatoes for dinner. Genius.Half of this miniature Peanut Butter Cup Cake from Vegan Treats for dessert. It was a stellar food day.

Coming up tomorrow: Ye Olde Grapefruit and Energy Bite. Lunch at a popular chain restaurant as yet to be determined.

Grape Nuts with Almond Milk for breakfast...Leftover Thai food with TJ's Chickenless Chicken for lunch...

A Field Roast Frankfurter and Tater Tots for dinner....

WF's Red Pepper Hummus with Pizzettina Crackers for dessert.

Coming up tomorrow: I foresee lots of bread and faux meat.

Remember the good old days when I didn't post my breakfasts?

Here's half my lunch...

and here's the other half (I must admit to feeling weird about this soup. I was ladeling out a bowl for myself and a girl asked if I'd had it before and if it was good. I said 'yes and yes'. But it really wasn't that good. Oh well).

Dinner was a Tempeh, Chickpea, Pumpkin Seed, Mushroom and Goddess Dresssing Salad. Kudos to FF for getting me into these Tempeh and Pumpkin Seed Salads.

Dessert was an Yves Salami with Vegenaisse Sandwich. I'd almost made it through the day being gluten-free and we couldn't have that.

Coming up tomorrow: Working from home. I predict Grape Nuts and leftover Thai Food. I'll probably be right.

Green Curry with Tofu $13.95 - Green Beans, Eggplant, Bamboo Shoots and Basil Leaves in Coconut Green Curry over Linguini at Thai Deelish for lunch. No Groupon today, so no appetizers.

Wegman's Crunchy PB and TJ's Raspberry Jam on a toasted Ezekiel English Muffin for breakfast.

I decided to be adventurous and order one of the specials, 'Fish in a Clay Pot', $8.95 at Loving Hut. Very delicious and reminiscent of fish.

Dinner was a Tempeh, Chickpea, Fresh Gourmet Crouton, Goddess Dresssing Salad.

Two Energy Bites at breakfast today because one was small...

Lunch was 'The Vegan' $5.99 Hummus, Lettuce, Tomato, Sprouts and Onions from Ize's Deli and Bagelry. Two huge *ss Pickle Spears took up the majority of the original photo, so some manipulation was performed before posting this pic.

The last of the Veganomicon Steamed Seitan Cutlets with Heinz-57 for dinner. I know this is a boring post but I can't always live and eat for this blog...

Grape Nuts with Almond Milk for breakfast. Eggless Egg Salad for lunch...

My homemade Seitan has de-rubberized after almost two weeks of sitting in its own broth. I regret having bad-mouthed it previously. Tonight, it was good fried in oil and topped with Heinz-57. But, then again, what isn't?

Wednesday, February 22nd

Here are some colorful meals to make up for yesterday. My breakfast....

Lunch...(after this Salad, I raided the vending machine for some Pretzel Sticks. Then raided my desk drawer for some Endangered Species Chocolate. I was having brown food withdrawal I suppose).

Dinner....(Daiya really reheats very well in my experience)

I already had dessert today at lunch. Coming up tomorrow: Working from home, so all brown food all day and loving it. Especially looking forward to an Eggless Egg Salad Sandwich for lunch.

WTF Tuesday

My Kashi cereal was boring certain readers, so today I switched it up to Grape Nuts with Almond Milk.

I added TJ's Chickenless Chicken Strips to my leftover Curried Noodles for lunch.

Dinner was Field Roast Meatloaf with Heinz-57 and Baked Potatoes.

Rice Divine Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream for dessert.

A whole lot of brown today. Coming up tomorrow: some colors.

Monday, February 21st

The usual take-to-work breakfast...

Lunch was the Power Veggie Sandwich $7.89 plus .50 for Vegenaisse from Nourish Market.

Plus a cup of Split Pea Soup $2.99. A relatively expensive but outstanding lunch.

Leftover Nueva Cocina Black Beans and Rice with Tofurky Kielbasa for dinner.

Half a piece of Sweet 'n Natural Chocolate Raspberry Cake for dessert.

Coming up tomorrow: Not leaving the house. My favorite!

Sunday, February 19th

Not only do I love buying Groupons, I love using them up. Today I used two, so it was a great feeling of accomplishment. This mornings Fruit Plate $7.29 will be my last meal at Eggspectations,

however, my thoughts are way more positive about our lunch destination, Thai Deelish. I'm sure we'll return. My Spring Rolls $4.95...

Mr. SV made Pizza for dinner with Daiya so I was too stuffed for dessert.

Coming up tomorrow: Going into work on a federal holiday. So traffic will be light during rush hour, but heavy during lunch hour.

Saturday, February 18th

Tofu Scrambler and Roasted Potatoes $8.95 for breakfast at Cafe Nola.

Yves Salami Sandwich for lunch at home.I decided to experiment with some 'ambient lighting' at dinner for my Field Roast Meatloaf with Heinz-57 and Baked Potatoes, but the resulting pics weren't to my pleasure.

So I returned to bright and cheerful regular lighting at dessert time for the other half of my Sweet 'n Natural Blueberry Lemon Creme Cake.Coming up tomorrow: Either staying inside all day due to severe weather or venturing out with a fistful of Groupons.

Friday, February 17th

Breakfast was a tart and juicy Grapefruit with Energy Bite.

Lunch was the 'Roasted Vegetable Salad' - Roasted Artichoke Hearts, Asparagus, Peppers, Corn and Sun-Dried Tomatoes on Romaine lettuce with Avocados. Fat-Free Balsamic Vinaigrette subbed for Dijon $13.25 from California Pizza Kitchen

Mr. SV made Spaghetti for dinner with TJ's meatless meatballs.

Too stuffed for dessert.
