Saturday, April 19th

Although it was National Screaming Baby Day at Le Pain Quotidien, I still was able to relish every bite of my Tofu Scramble with Avocado....
LPQ's 'Organic Lentil & Avocado Salad' for dinner. Arugula, Frisée, Raw Vegetables, Flax Seed, Chickpeas and Basil Vinaigrette....
An LPQ Matcha Muffin for dessert...

Marmalade Umlaut this afternoon. As always, disgruntled with having her pic taken, but FF was concerned about her well-being, so here is proof she is alive and well...
Yearly blog pic of Virginia Bluebells...
Bye for now...

Today's post is brought to us by LPQ :) An amazing full day of eats. Everything looks so fresh from there. One of these days I'll stop being lazy and get into one. Maybe they'll be kind and open one on Long Island so I don't have to schlep into the city to enjoy one of those amazing muffins,.

Screaming Baby Day kills me.... I've been known to swap subway cars because of them.
What a great day of LPQ! That lentil salad is one of my favorites- i thought it came with a pesto something dressing, but maybe thats the same as what you're calling basil. Anyhow. The muffin looks amazing.

Chanerelles are really wonderful, i really haven't seen good ones on the east coast, even at fancy markets for crazy money...... Hopefully you'll get more better shrooms!

Ah, so LPQ babies aren't as cute as Prince George, hey?

I did not celebrate National Screaming Baby Day, but I did sit next to a woman who shushed two people having a conversation at slightly above speaking voice level, but they were outside. It amused me.
Glad to see Umlaut again, and to see she hasn't changed her demeanor.
Bluetiful bluebells. Still nothing much like that up here, though there were some nice magnolia trees in bloom on a walk I took today...

Hey Now!!!!!

Sarah, you would think Long Island would have LPQs before the DC area would. Maybe the rent costs are too high up there.

Unknown, one mother at LPQ decided to stand up to hold her screaming baby, so its cries really reverberated throughout the entire restaurant. It was an unusual aural experience for all. There was Pesto in the Dressing . Such a great Salad.

Hannah, Prince George is the cutest baby on the planet. How does that little fella work it like that at such a young age????

FF, that's what is so great about NY! So many characters. The blooms are coming and going fast and furious down here. They're so short-lived.

OMG, isn't he though? I am so NOT a baby-gooey person, but holy heck those cheeks of his.
