WTF Tuesday

It was not the day of color I'd anticipated. Bob's Red Mill Steel Cut Oats (not the quick cooking kind) with TJ's Dried Cranberries for breakfast...
Field Roast Smoked Tomato Deli Slice Sandwich with Vegenaisse for lunch...
Whole Foods finally heard my prayers...
After waiting so many years for this day to come, I was worried that they wouldn't be good, but I'm thrilled to report: they're light, flavorful, satisfying and a good deal at $5.99/dozen. Now that WF's is aware that I like one of their products, they will most certainly discontinue it, so stock up now...
Carrot Cake from Dawson's Market for dessert...
More of the same tomorrow.

I need to get on this oatmeal train immediately. How cool that they have ravioli now!! And even better that it is GOOD ravioli! I have to say that carrot cake is the winner for me though. It looks so damn good.

Aaaah! One of my friends in Utah ate his ravioli the same way - on a plate with little dollops of sauce on top. It made me laugh and laugh then, and it makes me laugh and laugh now. Wonderful.

I saw those raviolis at my whole foods but I was hesitant to buy them. How were they?

That carrot cake looks amazing!

We're pushing 80 degrees every day this week, with the exception of Friday, so oatmeal will happen later in the week.

Hooray for vegan ravioli! I'll be on the lookout for it soon!

I have never had the patience for steel cut myself....but i do love how chewy they are. Those ravioli look like they are stuffed with lots of filling! The individual saucing is funny yet very practical.
Love the look of that carrot cake.....

This ravioli makes me so happy. I'm heading to Fair Oaks today to pick some up. Thanks for the heads up!

The ravioli does look really good. I'm glad it's as delicious as you were hoping. I get the same luck with stores discontinuing things I love. Boo to that!

Hey Now!!!!

Sarah, the Cold Cereal Train is also good.

Hannah, dang! I thought I was the first one to ever put a dollop of sauce on each Ravioli! So much for my divine inspiration.

VGG, the WFs Raviolis are very good. I boiled them for about 7 minutes, which is about five minutes longer than the usual Raviolis I've made in the past.

Ingrid, it's in the 80's here all week too, but the mornings are still darn cold, around the 50's.

Unknown, I do prefer the quick-cooking kind of Steel Cut, but I couldn't find any this past weekend, so it took about 40 minutes to cook this past bowl.

Kyra, I hope you find the Ravioli at Fair Oaks! I got this Ravioli at the Falls Church WF's.

Abby Bean, I hope you find the Ravioli 'up there'! Of course, you'll probably find even cooler stuff.

RVs, oh the memories of food stuffs loved and lost.
