Friday, October 11th

Apparently, I bought three boxes of these Gardein Breakfast Sandwiches instead of two as I thought I had. Unfortunately, upon opening the newly discovered box, there was only one slice of  'cheese'. I looked and looked, but lo just a single slice for the two Sandwiches. Strange factory mishap. Anyway, this mornings Sandwich was sans fromage, but pretty much just as good as it is when it is avec fromage.
My 'Falafel Platter' $8.99 at Woodside Deli. Dece, but hopefully my Mother won't buy anymore Groupons for this place.
I was dying of thirst by the time I got home so drank an Orange Steaz...
TJ's Meatless Meatballs individually sauced with Wegman's Tomato Basil Sauce for dinner...
I have vowed to only eat the utmost delicious food tomorrow. Nothing mediocre like that lunch I had today.

I would welcome my mother buying the blandest Groupon available if it meant I got to have lunch with her. Going on 14 months since I left Australia now.

The falafel do look kinda sad, but so do the meatballs. Actually, I cry for the single slice of cheese too. Good thing I'm drinking.

How disappointing about the missing cheese and the mediocre falafel. There was a place where you got amazing falafel/mediterranean platters that looked all kinds of yummy. I vote for going back to that place :) I feel like I've heard of Steaz but I can't place where. Was it good?

How whacky that you ended up with a cheezless sandwich! Did you add some ketchup or mayo to it? And mediocre falafel and hummus is always kind of sad. But i do like to use hummus as a salad dressing sometimes. I had meatless balls tonight too! I tossed them into my tomato/fennel soup, so practically the same.....
I vote you deserve an indulgent sunday brunch.

Excellent French! :) I, too, had a wimpy lunch - but only because I couldn't be bothered with preparing anything (it was an apple, pb, and a big side of carrots). Individually sauced meatless balls is adorable! Ha Ha!

P.S. Mother has reported a lot rain in VA, if it affects you - I hope the fowl and barn cats don't mind!

I'm sorry it was such a disappointing food day! Hopefully today will be better!

I still have to get around to buying some of those gardein breakfast sandwiches.

Too bad about lunch being mediocre. It certainly looks good, though. Weird about the missing cheese slice, too.

I love Steaz. Such a great drink!

Hey Now!!!

Hannah, if I had one of those mothers that would allow me to be an adult and leave the area, not to mention the continent, I might be more excited about doing lunch with her.

FF, the Meatless Meatballs were good. No need for your pity there. I'll take the rest though.

Sarah, Steaz is sold in the natural foods aisle. It's just 'soda' that is Tea/Juice/Sparkling Water. For those days when regular water just wont quench your thirst.

Unknown, it was your TJ's Meatless Meatballs suggestion that influenced my dinner last night. Helped settle my stomach. Thank you.

Ingrid, I didn't think about the rain interfering with your parents visit. It has been non-stop for days. What a bummer.

VGG, I still have to get around to finding that Amy's Orange Cake and those Seasnax.

RVs, Gardein owes me a slice of Cheese. Steaz is great, I agree.
