WTF Wednesday

Hot Oatmeal (not Overnight Oatmeal) season is upon us. A piping hot bowl of Bob's Red Mill Quick Cooking Oats with TJ's Dried Cranberries (like candy) for breakfast...
Hummus and Pickles on a Just Bagels Everything Bagel for lunch....
Gardein Turk'y Cutlets with Gravy and a creamy mound of 'Mushroom Risotto' $7 from The Randy Radish for dinner. I was sad about this meal ending before I even started. Hate when that happens...
Also from The Randy Radish, an entire Cinnamon Roll aka 'Baked Bliss', for dessert. Ordinarily, I'd only eat a half of one, if any, since I'm immune to the charms of the Cinnamon Roll, but I threw caution to the wind and it worked out surprisingly well. I can now see how Cinnabon stays in business.
I think I can mix it up for tomorrow so you wont see the same thing two days in a row.

I don't think I could ever eat only half a cinnamon rolls. It's one of my favorite treats, although I don't have them very often. Glad you enjoyed yours!

I'm so impressed that you ate the whole cinnamon roll! I don't think I'd be able to resist either, it looks really great! I'm sad that your dinner ended too because holy crap it looks good. Mushroom risotto sounds fantastic. I'm going to have to try this bagel/hummus/pickle combo sooner rather than later. If you say everything bagel it will be an everything bagel too :) And yay for oatmeal season!!

This all looks so good that it would be completely understandable for you not to mix it up at all.

I am in denial about fall and postponing the oatmeal and soup while i shiver in my cutoffs..... Love the fancy pickle slices overlapping action on the bagel. Everything really does have everything good. Was the risotto worth the week long delayed gratification??
That cinnamon bun. Wow. Just. Wow. Why would anyone only eat half of it?

The cocktail clubs/lounges/speak easys have some super amazing adult beverages lately- check out this list for an idea of what they serve- in highball glasses:

I often forget how much I love oatmeal. It's infinitely adaptable too.
Glad you finally got yr risotto. Lots of nice looking mush today.
Also, hummus on bagels but Tofutti on bread? The world is turning upside down.

Hooray! You tried the risotto! It does look particularly fantastic. With the end of the rain, we lost our cool temperatures. We're back into the mid to upper 80s (good for evaporation, so I won't complain) - thus, oatmeal season isn't quite yet upon us here.

Oooh, cinnamon roll. . .yum. In my experience, it's all about balance: cinnamon, dough, and frosting must be in even distribution.

Another day of great eats!

I love cinnamon rolls! I usually make them on special occasions for me and my family to enjoy for breakfast!

Also love the hummus on bagel. You turned me onto that one and I usually have it with some tomato as well. It is delicious!

You are so right about oats season; I woke up this morning and just could not down a chilled smoothie. Of course I ate chocolate cake instead, but oats are definitely a better option for the future.

Hey Now!!!

RVs, Cinnamon Rolls are usually so humongous, I don't know how anyone could eat an entire one. At least this one was very light.

Sarah, please do try the Hummus & Pickle on a Bagel combo. Add it to your list of goals for after you finish celebrating your birthday weekend.

Hannah, sometimes I forget what I should eat until it's too late.

Unknown, the Risotto was worth the wait. I knew it would be. That Cocktail Menu is so intense. You would have to go to the bar every day for over a month to try one of each. I would definitely go for the Cobra's Fang first though.

FF, the question is: Where to put the Vegenaisse? No, don't answer that.

Ingrid, thanks for trying to explain the Cinnamon Roll to me. It's probably a good thing I don't get it. My dessert trolley is overflowing as it is.

VGG, I turned you on to Hummus On A Bagel?! You owe me big time then.

Abby, bet you had a really great vegan Chocolate Cake. Hope you post the maker/recipe.
