WTF Monday

Nature's Path Flax Plus Raisin Bran Flakes with So Delicious Coconut Milk for breakfast. Ambrosial it is!
Lunch was the last of my CSA Radishes with Tofutti Cream Cheese Sandwich on toasted Russian Rye Bread....
Undercooked Rising Moon Spinach Ravioli for dinner...
Guess I'll hit up Whole Foods tomorrow to see what they have on the hot/cold bars.

I used to nibble raw spaghetti as a kid, so that ravioli looks grand to me.

My eyes go straight to the Cookie Dough Ice Cream. Yum!

Re: lunch, do you toast the rye? Toast with Tofutti and veggies is a favorite of mine.

I became vegetarian so young that I never had a sloppy joe.

Hows the cookie dough ice cream?
I just bought some strawberry and pecan praline ice cream. Both of which are delicious!

I almost picked up Raisin Bran Flakes today but was in a local supermarket so they just had the regular kind. Would you not recommend that kind? Is it an Amazon/publishing house kind of thing? Or would you buy Kellogs Raisin Bran too?
Been craving Tofutti recently - it looks a lot more reasonable on yr bread with radishes than it would for me on a giant bagel. Sometimes I forget Tofutti can be used in more ways than one.

Whenever i buy raisin bran i end up picking out all the raisins first. And then i get upset that there aren't raisins in the last two bowls.....!
I've been on a coconut milk bender lately. Good stuff.
Your lunch is so pretty! That bread sounds really good....looks like an LPQ "tartine".
I've totally done the undercooked pasta before. Patience is not my strength! I had an overpriced ginger-rum cocktail for dessert but your ice cream looks better.

Oh, man, more radishes! I wonder what my family would think if I served up a hearty dinner of radish sandwiches. I'd say I was inspired by none other than Shenandoah Vegan! And, yes, they know who you are.

Like Ingrid, my eyes went right to the ice cream. The ravioli is a close second, though. I've been eyeing it up at the store lately.

Is it weird that everyone is all "ooh yay ice cream" and I'm all "mmmmmm breeeeeead?" I freaking love bread more than everything. Toast it up and throw some tofutti on it and you have a winner every time.

I may have asked you this before but have you ever had ice cream on a waffle? It's probably right under bread on a list of awesome food I want to eat all the time but don't.

Hey Now!!!!

Hannah, so you would nibble on a strand of hard spaghetti like a bunny?

Ingrid, Radish with Tofutti is just as pleasing as Cucumber with Tofutti. I do toast the Rye, but I'm too impatient to wait for it to get real toasty.

VGG, after I wrote yesterdays response, I regretted it because if your mother had served you Sloppy Joes, they most likely would not have been vegan. So it's actually a good thing you didn't get them. Cookie Dough Ice Cream is phenomenal. Strawberry and Praline Pecan Ice Cream sounds like it would make a great combo, even if you bought them to enjoy separately.

FF, it's been my experience that all brands of Raisin Bran are good, but Natures Path Raisin Bran really is on another level altogether. So you can't go wrong with any Raisin Bran. Once I ate Tofutti Cream Cheese straight up out of the tub. Love that stuff.

Unknown, my mother always overcooked everything, so I tend to undercook everything. That Ginger Rum Cocktail sounds fantastic. Was it served in a Martini glass?

BM, of course The Blessings know their Aunty Shen! It's almost time for my annual two-week Xmas visit.

RVs, I'm not recommending the Ravioli. I just happened to stock up on a lot it during an unbelievable sale. Not sure I'll ever buy this brand again unless desperate.

Sarah, I'm a bread lover as well, even though I so wish I could go gluten-free. I've had Ice Cream on a Waffle as dessert in a restaurant before, but never at home. I know I say it a lot, but there seems like a lot of stuff you want but deny yourself. Please just drink a Margarita!
