followed by Clare and Don's Beach Shack for their spicy Blackened Tofu Sandwich $8.50...
we started with the Pickle Chips $4.00...
I kept the soy intake going through dinner with some WF's Sesame Grilled Tofu and Roasted CSA Carrots...
Drove the theme home with a Zen Chocolate Vanilla Soy Pudding for dessert.
If eating Soy for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Dessert wasn't enough to make this an interesting post, here are pics of the Chickens enjoying some leftover LPQ Bread...
Hard to capture them mid-bite cuz they do it so fast, but trust me, those are little Chicken bites on the bread...
A pic of the feeder this afternoon with a lot of take-offs and landings at once.WFH Grub tomorrow

I have soy-based days too, but none as fantastic as this! Beautiful scramble and I'm definitely all about a visit to Clare and Don's next time I'm in VA. My parents are going in two weeks, maybe they can bring me back a carryout. Ha! ;)
Hello happy chickens! How are they adapting to the change in seasons?
Love the little chicken bites. And the feeder shot. How long did you have to stand there before all four birds were in the picture?
How cute chickens!!!
I love soy based days! As long as its good food and your food looked delicious!
I would love to try fried pickles! The one time I had them, they were not crispy so I was disappointed.
I was craving LPQ this weekend but ended up at chipotle
Back to back tofu scramble weekend?? Now that is a success story. You definatly found some amazing 'fu today- hope the dinner fu from whole foods wasn't dried out this time. Your entire roasted carrots crack me up somehow....i read once about a place that served a roasted carrot as the vegan hotdog option. Thought it was clever. Those pudding cups are good stuff, need to find some again.
Our whole foods dressing bottles are all drippy amd leave your hands slimy and of course get dressing everywhere but your salad box. I gave up completly a while back now.....i actually went to pure food and wine for brunch today, had the awesome sarma's favorite green smoothie and the best salad of my life.

It is one of my life's goals to eat fried pickles! Also, howzabout those crinkle fries? I have never had any luck at Le Pain; methinks I should try again.
Those are some beautiful chickens.
Yay for the chickens!! Great pics of them, they are so cute!! The feeder action shot is really great as well! And this is definitely what I call a great food day. Glad you were able to get some of your favs today. The scramble looks delicious as always and your lunch is definitely a winner. I still really want to try fried pickles. They sound and look so good!
I always love when you post pics of the chickens. They are just so gorgeous & I would have a blast feeding them.
Great food day all around. They really pile the tofu on that sandwich.
Hey Now!!!!
Ingrid, wonder where your parents will dine in the DC area (I know they're not vegan, but I'm still interested). The Chickens have recently slowed down laying eggs now that it's so cold and the days are shorter.
FF, I never put much effort into anything I do, so I only snapped about 10 pics of the feeder over a one minute period. Just lucked out for once.
VGG, I dunno if you heard, but Chipotle is changing their Pinto Beans to become vegan like the Black Beans. That's great news.
Unknown, it's really a travesty that you don't blog. You have so many great food recs and eat so well. It's my new goal to drink a Moscow Mule thanks to you.
Abby Bean, Fried PIckles are every where now. The difficult part is finding the vegan ones. No luck at LPQ?! I've never had anything but luck. Are any of your negative experiences documented on your blog?
Hannah, thanks, the Chickens have really enriched my life with their adorable personalities.
Sarah, after TJ's Tots and Chicken Tenders, I could see you doing Fried Pickles now.
RVs, I'm sure Emma & Rowan would enjoy protecting Chickens, should you ever move to a place that allows them.
