Monday, September 2nd

After deep long thought about where to have our final vacation meal, Black Bear Bistro was chosen. The 'Tempeh Reuben' $7.95 was excellent, so much so that I got another one to go for later in the week...
Tofu Scramble and Home Fries for dinner...
PPK Marbled Banana Bread for dessert.
That concludes the three-day weekend.

That tofu scramble plate looks to me like Two-Face from Batman and it's freaking me out.

That tempeh must have really gone to your head because Sunday lasted two days for you! (Check your date.) :-) Happy holidays!

LOL I was a little confused by the date too but none of that matters when you have such yummy looking meals to show us! I think the tempeh reuben has become your signature sandwich ;) Good thinking to get one to go. The tofu scramble looks incredible and your loaf is the perfect way to cap off a perfect summer (end of summer) day :)

I don't know why, but I find the cherry tomato hanging out in the middle of your tofu scramble highly amusing.

What is not amusing: going back to work.

Definatly a good call on the tempeh ruben for the day off from labor-the pile of fries trying to hide in the background look tempting too.
How was the scramble? I'm impressed. Esp with the good lookin homefries next to it. Nice finish with the swirly bread.

I can manage about a week in cali nowhereville before i go stir crazy- ten days is somehow way too long. I'm headed to bike along the ocean this afternoon :)

Hey Now!!!

Hannah, I'll take any reaction I can get.

Blessed Mama, I can't believe I screwed up the dates again!

Sarah, so embarrassing that I don't know the day of the week. What else don't I know?

Ingrid, thanks for appreciating my Tomato 'doodad'.

Unknown, you are living the dream! I've never biked along an ocean before.

RVs, thanks! It wasn't the most exciting weekend, but at least I left the house every day.
