Saturday, September 14th

Nature's Path Corn Flakes with So Delicious Coconut Milk for breakfast. I highly recommend these Corn Flakes if you happen to see them on sale sometime...
Lunch was at Cantina D'Italia. The below pic is entitled 'Italian x Three'. An ice cold Italian Beer, Peroni $4, inside an Italian Restaurant, looking out at a Moto Guzzi California 1400,  Mr. SVegetarian's bike...
my Side Salad, with Vinegar and Oil, lacked the usual Onions and Olives, but was refreshing...
and my Pasta Primavera $9.95 was also quite pleasing...
Gardein Turk'y Cutlets with Gravy and CSA Fingerling Potatoes for dinner. Still pleased...
The Flying Monkey Cupcake for dessert. While the Cupper didn't fare too well on the journey from PA to VA, tonight it still tasted rich and delicious. Yes, there was a ton of Frosting, but I was able to handle it.
Okay, maybe I am feeling a little sick from all the Frosting.

The frosting is the best part, but dang, that is a ton of frosting!

$4 beer? I'd forgotten how gloriously cheap the US is. Sigh.

Hannah, I think only Virginia is gloriously cheap... I was wowed by the price too.
"Italian x Three" sounds like it should be hanging up in the MoMa. Mmmmmmoto Guzzi!! I like. Looks like you are cheersing the bike.
I thought at first you said you ate the cornflakes over soy yogurt. Think you'd ever try it? Do you eat vegan yogurt?

Looks like a good food day!

How were those gardein turk'y cutlets? I've been trying to find some of gardeins newer products but no luck.

That's a lot of frosting but looks yum!

As you know I'm not a big pasta person but I've been craving pasta primavera with garlic and oil like crazy lately! Seeing yours makes me want it even more! Yummy. How were the gardein cutlets? I have never seen those!

Poor cupcake looks like it had a tough trip but oh man does it look yummy!

I've been thinking about gravy lately, what kind was this? In the Happy Herbivore cookbook she has a few tasty sounding gravies, but I've yet to try one.

The Italian lunch (and moto) looks great! Yum!

I love the photoa and title! Pretty nice ride he's got there.
I'm sure your own salads are better, but their banana peppers are a nice touch. And such a great pasta pile! I've yet to see those turkey ones but i don't eat much faux meat either- good gravy can make or break a meal.
I love the beaten up cupcake! It looks like it has personality somehow....... And all icing stomachaches are worth it.

Ps
FF asked about any yogurts- do you know of one that isn't gross?? I just gave up after throwing out so many that were truly horrendous....

How do you like riding on the bike? We miss ours sometimes.

The pasta looks really great. We put spaghetti on the menu for this week because we're both craving it.

Hey Now!!!!

Sara, and, of course, I had to eat all the Frosting because that was the portion served.

Hannah, $4 for a big glass of Peroni on tap? Yes, please! You must get some good deals on Molsen or Moosehead up there.

FF, I will definitely be ordering that beer all the time now that I know it's so cheap. No, I've given up on vegan Yogurt. Just worthless.

VGG, the outside of these Turky Cutlets was nice and crunchy (maybe I just happened to bake them correctly). I will definitely buy them again (when I see them on sale. Today I saw them for $4.99/bag and said no way).

Sarah, Pasta with Garlic and Olive Oil is so good, I agree. Hope you're eating good stuff up there, now that we don't even get a peek anymore.

Ingrid, last nights Gravy came in the bag with the Gardein Cutlets. I just put the little bag of frozen Gravy in boiling water to defrost it and then heated it up in the same pan. It was decent enough, but when Gravy season is really upon us, I will be using Imagine Mushroom Gravy in the little box.

Unknown, I'm sure the icing stomachaches in Manahattan aren't as bad as elsewhere. I've given up on vegan Yogurt. Fortunately, I don't miss it like I miss real Cheese.

RVs, Mr. SV loves his new bike. I don't ride often because the helmet is annoying to me. Yesterday, I had met him at the restaurant in my car and he went off riding afterwards. I know that Spaghetti craving well.
