WTF Tuesday

A TJ's Cinnamon Crumpet with Bonne Maman Orange Marmalade for breakfast. First off, I thought I was buying Whole Wheat Crumpets because they were brown, so the Cinnamon was strong in this one. The Orange Marmalade was very bitter. My next Crumpet flavor pairing will be less combative.
Homemade Vegetable Soup for lunch.
Field Roast Meatloaf with Heinz-57 and Roasted Cauliflower for dinner.
The other half a piece of Hazelnut Cake from Vegan Treats for dessert.
Coming up tomorrow: I foresee cereal for breakfast and leftover pizza for lunch.

The veggies really get piled high in your soup! How do you do that? Is it just so chock-full of goodness? Is the broth to veg ratio really high at the end of the pot? Do you freeze the soup? So many questions, just one soup!

Yeah, your soup look sgreat! Im laughing at your crumpet comments...lol I have totally had good ideas that just didn't pair well in the end1 Yum on that hazelnut cake. Haelnut is one of my favorite things!

Cinnamon crumpets? I've never heard of that. I've only ever known of plain crumpets. I used to smother them in butter and strawberry jam - that's the best way! Obviously, you'd have to use EB though :)

And I'm also wondering about your soup! There's always so much more veg! (which is great, though)

I wonder why the orange was bitter? Cinnamon crumpets might just need a little Earth Balance or PB.

Love the soup!

Oooh peanut butter on cinnamon crumpets would be so yummy! I agree with everyone else, your veggie soup always looks so hearty and delicious. Do you have a recipe that you use or do you just wing it with whatever you have produce wise? Roasted cauliflower is always a good choice as is chocolate hazelnut cake! Yum!

I'm more in to the savory scene as far as breakfast is concerned so I like to go with just Earth Balance "butter." I'm wondering if I should buy crumpets this week instead of British muffins.

That cake looks crazy-good as usual. It has plenty of frosting too which is a good thing in my book.

Are crumpets the same thing as English muffins? They look eerily similar. Cake looks good.

A combative breakfast is no good! I've never had a crumpet, but it looks like something I'd enjoy.

The soup looks so good, as does the cake!

Hey Now!!!!

FF, as you noted, the veggies are piled high due to lack of broth. No, I don't freeze the soup and there is a boat load left so yippee.

Morgan, who knew Cinnamon and Marmalade didn't go together? I was surprised.

Isotope, I never heard of Cinnamon Crumpets before either. The word 'Cinnamon' on the package didn't pop out at me till I got it home.

Ingrid, the Marmalade was bitter. Must've been the pith. This was real Marmalade, not the Smuckers/ Knotts Berry Farm stuff.

VaVa, I'll try Peanut Butter on the Crumpets next. Five more to go. No recipe for the soup, just toss it all in the pot and simmer for an hour.

Miss Rachel, weren't you the one that told me to buy the Crumpets?!

Blessed Mama, Crumpets are like English Muffins but spongier. This was my first time so I'm no expert.

Molly, how can something called a 'Crumpet' be bad?
