Friday, March 2nd

A WF's Vegan Blueberry Muffin for breakfast. As you can see from my initial bite, all the Blueberries were on top and zero Blueberries were inside. Although perfectly moist, the 'berries as topping only' makes me consider this muffin a major rip. Additionally, after consuming the massive treat, I had to crawl back into bed till lunch.
I managed to haul myself out of bed for some Kung Pao 'Chicken' $6.95 at Good Fortune. They have a special vegan menu. Very tasty.
Field Roast Frankfurter and TJ's Tater Tots for dinner. One can love both processed and un-processed foods.
No dessert due to the cup of sugar and fat I had for breakfast. Coming up tomorrow: Mr. SV says he's willing to go out to lunch. I'm thinking Italian food (since both of my current Groupons are for Italian restaurants).

So I was going to mention this in my blog tomorrow but I've been have MAJOR muffin cravings over the past week or two (in between feeling sick) and muffins have been popping up all over the place! It is crazy! I never eat muffins and now it is all I want. That is kind of a major rip off that all the blueberries were in the top. I bet it was the best muffin top you've ever had though ;)

Lunch looks so amazing! That is great that they have a separate vegan menu. It is always so nice just to be able to order off the menu and not have to worry about adjustments.

Looks like a great food day! Hope you enjoyed the day off, looking forward to seeing where you end up for lunch tomorrow!

Bummer about the blueberry muffin; I wonder if it was a fluke and the others were better.

It looks as if someone mixed up the muffin batter, poured it into the muffin pan, and then remembered it was supposed to be blueberry muffin batter and so added blueberries to the top of the muffins. That scenario seems the only logical explanation. Still a bit disappointing; I LOVE blueberry muffins.

I need to keep my eyes peeled for any vegan muffins, as I don't recall seeing them previously. Did you buy just one, or did they come in a pack?

I looked over at the Good Fortune site, but the menu page wouldn't let me scroll down. It's great they have a vegan menu, I'm guessing the other offerings are just as fabulous!

Hey Now!!!!

VaVa, I had a MAJOR muffin craving too! What a let down I experienced. Thanks for being there for me.

FF, oh sure, take Whole Food's side. It was no fluke. There were zero berries in the Blueberry Muffin because no effort was made to put Blueberries inside the muffin.

Miss Rachel, did you get a job in the bakery at Whole Foods? Sounds like it.

Ingrid, our local WFs have been selling vegan muffins for many years. Both separately and in packs. Similarly, the menu at Good Fortune has been defective since the beginning.
