It's A Sauna Out There

It had been almost 18 hours since my last Boca Burger, so I had to get one (or two) ASAP. Makenzie's made it happen....
...and when it's "Africa hot" outside, African cuisine (Collards on the side) seems appropriate for dinner.
Dessert was a slice of the Devil's Food Peanut Butter Cake that I made today. I subbed a simple Chocolate Glaze for the icing because I didn't think heavy frosting was called for in this weather.

i was reading the directions for this cake, i love the idea of the silken tofu with pb, its a lot of steps to make this cake but you make it look worth it. i have had cakes that had a weird aftertaste,(like the guy said in the directions for the cake) i think its the apple cider vinegar that is usually called for that is responsible for it. this might be good with..say..chocolate chips n it too???..:)

lol you let eighteen hours go by without a boca??haha

That cake looks phenomenal, although I didn't really get the VT editorializing on the weird aftertaste you get vegan cakes. I've never noticed that being an issue.

Wow, that African dish looks really interesting...olives and peanut butter with tomatoes. Hm. I'd like to try that one sometime.

Hello All! The African dish and the cake were both fantastic recipes. I highly recommend them.

Stacy, I don't recall ever having an aftertaste issue with any food item -- soy or otherwise. I need to ponder this.
