Comfort Food Friday

Many years ago, I was addicted to Entenmann's Raspberry Danish (washed down with a pot of coffee). Last year I found some Rugelach in the store that tasted just as good and were also vegan.
I hadn't seen them since then and I'd given up hope of ever seeing them again. I've even tried contacting the company via the website , but to no avail.
October 3rd, 2009. I am food shopping as usual. I see a small table. Sitting on it were five boxes of Raspberry Creme Rugelah. (Don't know why the sign said 'Cinnamon')
Who set up this little table and sign for a company and product that is unreachable?I debated buying all five boxes, but settled on just three. I'm currently down to my last box, but, since we've been experiencing such nasty weather lately, I felt like treating myself to three of the tiny delectable pastries for breakfast. Lunch was balls. Eleven Meatless Meatballs in Penang Sauce from Wegman's Asian Wokery Hot Bar. Dinner was Alicia's Cutlets w/Heinz 57 and Sweet Potato Fries.
A great food day.

Thanks for the tip on the Rugelach. I wouldn't have even picked up the package to read the ingredients assuming it wasn't vegan.

You may have just inspired me to make some from scratch soon. I love rugelach and haven't made any in years.

Nora, believe me, I regret not buying all five.

Alicia, always inspect kosher items. I got some chocolate chips half off after Passover last yeat that are vegan.
