WTF Wednesday

Heritage Flakes and Hemp Milk for breakfast. Now that I'm over my initial disappointment with this cereal, I thought it would be like Wheaties,  I can accept it on its own terms. I don't see any reason to buy it again, but it's pretty good for what it is...
Eggless Egg Salad from The Common Market with some Spicy Olive Salad from Wegman's for lunch. I have no clue what that marinated vegetable is in the foreground. It's part of the Olive Salad...
Gone in 60 seconds: A 'Crabby Cake Sandwich ' $7 from The Randy Radish for dinner. Hearts of Palm, Organic Sweet White Corn and Sauteed Veggies formed into Croquettes, pan fried, and served atop an Organic Whole Wheat Bun with Mixed Greens and Creamy Remoulade Sauce. I inhaled it so fast, I can't give anymore information on the delicious details of it. Oven Fries on the side...
Really stale PPK Banana Bread for dessert. Made fresh again with a big blob of PB & Co White Chocolate Peanut Butter...
More of the same tomorrow, but with a few small differences.

Hmmmm so what does the cereal taste like if not Wheaties? Lunch looks great but OMG Randy Radish does it again!! That sandwich looks ridiculously delicious. And the oven fries look pretty great too. How do you store the banana bread? Fridge? I bet it would freeze well?

You must have as magical a cereal shelf as you do a everlasting refrigerator. I wish I could justify paying for a box of cereal.
Seen a lot of delicious similar-sounding crabbish cakes 'round the sphere lately but I would probably never make my own. The Radish knows what's up.

Yummy looking day! I like how two grocery stores are represented at lunch. I am super envious of dinner! It looks fantastic, and I foresee oven fries in the near future.

Hmm. . .maybe a pumpkin loaf next time?

All the food looks really delicious!

Ever mix your cereals? I love eating different cereals at once. It makes everything taste better in my opinion.

That dinner looks really good. I really want a good veggie burger. I need to buy some hamburger buns or something so I can make one.

I have yet to try a vegan crab cake though! Hoping I will be able to soon!

Haha, nope, not even a little bit involved with advertising.....
Maybe some sliced almonds and raisins could give your cereal some tlc? The olive salad sounds great-the version at my market has mushrooms and sometimes eggplant in there too. I shy away from the spicy bin....
What an awesome dinner! Its hard to slow down and savour a really good dish but always disappointing when its over. Totally pro looking potato fries there. Sounds like the nut butter was a good try- maybe stick some in the toaster to refresh it? Or as a bread pudding?

I like to think I'm taking over your brain, one peanut butter-encouraging comment at a time.

Thanks for the reminder; I have a white chocolate PB in the recesses of my pantry that needs to be revisited.

Have you tried the Nature's Path blueberry cinnamon flax cereal? It's an oldie but goodie.

I made it out to Leesburg and grabbed a Crabby Cake sandwich as well. So great, as were the southwestern chicken rolls.

Hey Now!!!

Sarah, the Heritage Flakes lack the sweetness of Wheaties. It's certainly tasty in its own right. You might like it. I totally should've frozen the Banana Bread but I didn't think it would hang around so long in the fridge.

FF, I usually only pay around $2.50/box for cereal. It might be more expensive in NYC. No, I would never attempt to make my own crab cake either.

Ingrid, we're getting into Pumpkin Waffle season as well.

VGG, so funny you ask about mixing cereals. Mr. SV does it, but I never have. How can you appreciate what brand cereal you've bought if it is mixed with another brand? I don't get it.

Unknown, Bread Pudding is a brilliant idea. Unfortunately, there is just a tiny slab of Banana Bread left, but a Chocolate Banana Bread Pudding really sounds fantastic.

Hannah, I'll admit you have deeply affected my psyche.

Abby Bean, no, I haven't tried that flavor cereal. It will be next on my cereal agenda along with Ingrid's Oat Squares.

Jared, thanks for the update! Isn't the Randy Radish food delicious? I wish I could eat their food every day.
