Sunday, October 13th

Started the day off right with a Tofurky Reuben $6.59 at The Common Market...
and some Roasted Potatoes off the hot bar...
Boca Chik'n Patties and Polenta with Red Pepper Sauce for dinner...
The Polenta was as light and delicate as air with just the right amount of 'tang' from the Sun-Dried Tomatoes. Were it to sprout wings and fly off my plate, I would not have been too surprised. Must have a culinary student interning in the Common Market kitchen...
Half a 'Carob Chip Bar' $2.99 for dessert...
More of a 'cake' than a 'bar', but who am I to complain?
Another Moscow Mule tonight. Warning: these things are habit forming...
WFH grub tomorrow.

Yay for breakfast redemption! That polenta sounds really delicious! I love sun dried tomatoes but does it come already sauced or is the sauce on the side? It would be sad for me if it was already sauced... although I guess it doesn't matter because I can never find stuff that awesome in my stores! The cookie/bar thing looks really yummy too and hooray for holiday weekends and drinking on a Sunday! ;)

The common market came through for you today! The ruben sounds terrific as always, and breakfast potatoes go with everything. Mine always get a generous ketchup dip too.....
Polenta is always fun- especially when someone else makes it :) the sauce sounds delicious!
Bar/cake/blondie/whatever looks like a nice dessert choice- and now i am going to have to make moscow mules at home too! Just too good looking....i usually stick to wine at home and cocktails out but that should be remedied. Asap.

Did they cut the crusts off that Reuben for you?
Polenta is great and really easy but I never make it for some reason. The sauce sounds like a perfect accompaniment.
I'm a fan of carob too...some people aren't into it. more for us.

I just made carob avocado pudding. It is also light and fluffy and might fly off my plate at any second. Carob fairy twins.

Hey Now!!!

Sarah, the Polenta was already sauced. Why wouldn't you like it that way? You don't like sauce?

Unknown, why is Polenta so much better out? I usually don't make cocktails at home either, but it wasn't looking like I was going to find a Moscow Mule in the area anytime soon.

FF, the Sandwich just looks crustless in the pic.
I am able to handle crusts. Bring em on! The crustier the better I say.

Hannah, I'll look forward to the recipe for that Pudding.
