Saturday, October 26th

Breakfast was at Harrimans Grill. We both had the 'Tofu Scramble' $12 Vine-Ripened Tomatoes, Green Onions, Tempeh Sausage (even thought the menu says 'Bacon') and Roasted Potatoes. Thankfully, service was top notch again. They're really working hard to get in gear.
'Tofu With Cashew Nuts' $9 at Faang for lunch. Mr. SVegetarian ate my rice, but this was how it was originally served...
A Battered and Deep Fried Field Roast Frankfurter $5 from The Randy Radish with Roasted Cauliflower for dinner. This was my first ever Corn Dog. Unexpectedly light, with hardly any coating. The Frankfurter just kind of expanded in the fryer, I guess that is why it is so plump. Very delectable.
Wholly Wholesome Dairy Free Pumpkin Pie for dessert. Hard to believe this is the best pic I could get of my dessert.
An all around great food day considering it was completely unplanned.

What a great food day, especially being unplanned!

The tofu scramble looks divine. is it better than LPQ?

I would love to have a vegan corn dog. I used to eat the morningstar ones years ago but they have milk so now I can't have them.

I have that pumpkin pie sitting in the fridge but have yet to make it. How is it?

Awesome food day! Looks like a great plate of tofu scramble there- does the hot sauce drizzle spell something?? I always like some rice to soak up the saucey stuff from chinese, the fu and cashew mix looks great though.
How funny that Randy made a corndog! I remember that (decades ago) when i would have one i picked off the outside layer and only ate that, but i think it was thick. Anyways, what a fun dinner-and its pie season! Yay!!
I saw the gardein turkey today, none of your field roasts though...

nbbbbbhhhhhhhhy (That is a message from Haxan as she walked across the keyboard - I'll leave it)
I don't think I've ever had a corn dog! How did you reheat it up?
so excited to eat some pumpkin pie soon...

I have never had a corn dog myself. I would still rather have the pie, even if the former inflated.

Ooh, it's been a while since I enjoyed a tofu scramble and they certainly know how to do it right. I would eat your lunch, but with the rice because I'm a rice-lover.

I think the last corn dog I ate was the MorningStar version an age or two ago. I can't remember what it tasted like, but I imagine this one was fantastic.

Bring on the pumpkin pie!

A corn dog made out of Field Roast? That's got to be delicious.

I'm glad you had good service along with the scramble. A very good start to the day!

I wasn't saying that to make you feel better. I remember all too well a wrap we got that ended up having mayo on it. It didn't even occur to us that it wasn't vegan mayo. Yuck. :(

Definitely a great food day!! That tofu scramble looks like perfection every time. Lunch looks amazing, cashews added to anything makes life better. You know I'm a huge fan of roasted cauliflower but corn dogs are a hard sell for me. I've never been a fan of hotdogs (in any form) and I thought that I'd give the morningstar version another shot and still a no go as of a few years ago. Glad you enjoyed yours though!

Hooray for pumpkin pie!!!

Hey Now!!!!

VGG, both Tofu Scrambles are quite excellent versions. Today I would say I like LPQ's version better, but it's a tough call. You will enjoy the Wholly Wholesome Pie. Although it's smaller than a WF's Pie, it has a lot of Pumpkin Pie Spice and the crust is good as well.

Unknown, it does look like Hot Sauce on the Scramble plate, but those are Roasted Red Peppers. So they spell 'You are so lucky you got your food in a reasonable amount of time'. I am glad to hear I'm not the only one on the east coast who hasn't seen the Field Roast En Croute yet.

FF, jadk;jakl;sjsla (that's a message back to Haxan. She'll know what it means). This was my first time having a Corn Dog as well. I ran the stick under water and put the Corn Dog in the oven at 400 degrees for about ten minutes. It was great.

Hannah, are you saying you've fallen for all things Pumpkin like a person of American heritage?!

Ingrid, it has been a long time since you had a Scramble (don't forget you like it with a little Tofutti Cream Cheese mixed in).

RVs, it was a very delicious Corn Dog. I was concerned there would be a lot of heavy breading, but they did a great job keeping it to a minimum. Oh, you ate real mayo. Sorry that happened to you.

Sarah, consider yourself lucky that you don't like Hot Dogs. Peppers not so much.
