Sunday, December 11th

Founding Farmers offers three vegan options on their brunch/breakfast menu. This morning, Mr SV & I ordered all three -- fully intending to box most of it to take home. Turned out, no boxes were necessary. Mr SV had the "Farmers Garden Hash" $10 Roasted Seasonal Vegetables, Spinach, Green Onions, Hashbrowns and Rye Toast. This must've been really good because he refused to share.
My "VegDC Scramble" $12 Simply Seasoned Gardein™ Beefless Burger™, Crumbled Tofu, Sauteed Mushrooms, Onions and Spinach with Rye Toast. This was good, but next time I'll order the 'Farmers Garden Hash' just to see what that selfish behavior is about.
We 75/25 split the "Chocolate Stout Farmhouse Waffle" $8 Signature Iron-Pressed Waffle made with Soymilk and Sam Smith Oatmeal Stout. Topped with Fresh Banana Slices and Homemade Vegan Caramel Sauce. The Waffles were tender and Chocolately. Paired perfectly with the Banana.
For some reason, we both skipped lunch. Dinner was Tostadas made with Daiya Cheddar and Sour Supreme.
The last piece of the WF's Pumpkin Pie for dessert.
The theme today was 'Screw the App, just eat the good stuff'.

The Farmer's Hash looks very similar to a Veggie and Spud breakfast I had at a breakfast cafe a while back. I didn't share either.

Waffle + Stout = Yes.

I would've probably had to take a nap after this deliciousness.

Cordiality (state of being, adjective).

I think they should make a "Screw the App" app...it would probably be more popular than the original...hey, you're a software engineer right...maybe you should go for it.

It all looks awesome, and I must say, I'm not a sweets person, but putting stout in waffles would entice me to eat them any day.

I still say you guys have way more vegan-friendly venues in your neck of the woods than Seattle boasts.

All of the breakfasts look great, but especially those waffles! Mike would be all over those, especially since they've got stout in them.

I would have gone for Mr SV's meal as well. You said the other day he wasn't vegan...is he vegetarian? Or omni? The few of his meals that make it to the blog are always very tasty looking.

Whoa, that is a good looking breakfast! I would have gone for the Farmer's hash for sure, it looks SO GOOD! And those waffles, yum! And I guess this is the last time I'll have pie envy for the season. Still looks great!

I think that hash is my favorite looking food I've seen all week.

Hey Now!!!!

Isotope, Mr SV was working towards eating 100% of the Waffles. I saw what was happening and was able to nab the last quarter before it was too late.

Sara, oh sure, take his side.

Ingrid, I'll take your word on the adjective thing. Gosh I wish I could come up with a good dangling participle right now just to further test your knowledge of grammar.

Rose, I am a Software Engineer with zero ambition. You and Isotope are in cahoots with this 'Seattle doesn't have as many vegan options' thing. I call bullsh*t.

Alessandra, when you gonna tell us how to comment on your blog?

Molly, ask Mike to make a batch this weekend.

FF, Mr SV is about 95 vegan. The other 5% is Cheese, Yogurt and occasional dining out with peers. I'm really rocking the percentages lately.

VaVa, no vegan Pumpkin Pie at WFs today, so you're right. Wonder why they couldn't carry them through to Christmas?

Jenny, you stopped posting your daily pregnancy eats. Now those were pretty awesome.
