Friday, November 11th

Lunch was at Seasons 52. My mother & I split the Portobello, Spinach and Roasted Garlic Flatbread to start.
I had a bowl of the Farmer’s Market Vegetable Soup...and the Organic Mixed Greens Salad with Toasted Pumpkin Seeds, Tomatoes, Cucumbers and White Balsamic Vinaigrette.A shot glass of Fresh Seasonal Fruit for dessert. Our server, Zendy, was extremely knowledgeable about what was vegan on the menu. Turns out, the bread that comes with the soup has cheese in it, so beware!Leftover Celebration Roast, Roasted Butternut Squash and Chard for dinner.
WF's Pumpkin Pie for dessert.
This was a pretty excellent food day.

As Bill and Ted would say, "Excellent!" The flatbread does look really great. Tres fancy with the white balsamic, but even the dinner eats look tasty.

When I was in WF yesterday, I saw a 9 inch vegan pumpkin pie, and had to talk myself out of picking it up about three times. I can't be trusted with a whole pie in my house!

Agreed, it was an excellent food day.

I have to agree, this IS an excellent food day. The flatbread looks absolutely delicious and I'm totally into soup lately and that one looks great. Dinner looks super tasty and I'm going to be jealous of that pie until you finish it.

Wow, lunch was fancy...even the servers name was trendy!

It all looks good; I'm especially drawn to the flatbread, but dinner looks like it was the most satisfying.

Happy weekend Shen! Molls is staying with us BTW. :)

I like it when staff are helpful about vegan foodstuffs. At one fancy place we went to awhile ago, the waiter very subtly came up to me when he served the bread and said, "the bread has milk in it" in a very unobtrusive tone. I didn't even have to ask. No one else noticed.
Good lookin' food day!

Hey Now!!!!

Molly, I just read your latest post. Sorry WF's was a disappointment. Gotta always approach it with lowered expectations.

FF, agreed, I'll have to look for White Balsamic in the stores.

Ingrid, I'm not sure which is worse: eating the whole pie by oneself, or having to share the pie with others who don't appreciate it.

VaVa, gotta admit, I happened to select a fantastic pie. Best ever. Just sayin, your jealousy is justified.

Rose, that is such awesome news! I feel all emotional! Molly is such a perfect pea in your kitty pod. It was so obvious.

Kimberly, there was a ton of Roasted Garlic on the Flatbread, so I couldn't really open my mouth much for the rest of the day. Lest I blast someone.

Stacy, it's a rarity when a server can speak with confidence to menu ingredients. That's probably why you'll never forget that waiter informing you of the milk.

Alessandra, thanks! Maybe one day, you'll explain how to leave a comment on your blog.
