Soup, Sandwich, Seitan and Soy Creamy

Lunch was the $5.29 Soup and Sandwich Lunch Special from Whole Foods....
Dinner was Veganomicon's Simple Seitan covered in Road's End Organic Mushroom Gravy with Mushrooms, plus Zucchini Pancakes and Sour Supreme. Hey, I was hungry!
Apres meal, Mr. SV asked if he could have the rest of 'those Chocolate Things', so I settled for Trader Joe's Cherry Chocolate Chip Soy Creamy Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert as my treat...
Lots of Lost Vineyards Shiraz/Cabernet Sauvignon...

Mushrooms are the best, I agree with Michelle. Now, I'm feeling guilty that you have no more bars and I didn't ship you any. :-( Mama's so mean.

I think that is a graet deal for the WHole Foods meal!!! How do you think the TJ soy creamy ice creams compare to Purely Decadent?? Just curious. I know they dont have as many flavors, but the ones they do have, now do you think they compare in flavor? I always see them but always make an extra trip for the Purely Decadent. Hope you have a great weekend!!

Whole Foods does a great job at putting together some very yummy food. I love their soups. Great pictures! Thanks for sharing with us.

The gravy looks good. I'll have to check out Road's End - I have not been able to make any good gravy.

Hello, Ladies!!!!

Michelle, the Gravy comes in .99 packets. Just add water. You can have it anytime, not just at Thanksgiving.

Blessed Mama, here we are completely barless and bereft while you have 2 1/2 blessings just sitting around waiting to bake more. I don't know how you manage to live with yourself!

Morgan, now that you made me think of it, Purely Decadent is much better than TJ's Soy Creamy. I get a half gallon of TJ's Soy Creamy Chocolate Cherry for $3.69 and Mr. SV won't eat it (chocolate and fruit mixed doesn't appeal to him) but he will eat the Purely Decadent, so it lasts a real long time.

Deb, you are silly. Your pictures put mine to shame. Thanks for trying to be nice though.

Jessica, I made Isa's Chickpea Gravy once and it was really good, but this Roads End is so easy, good and cheap, there's no point in bothering to make gravy from scratch anymore.
