Saturday, November 30th

Harrimans Grill again today. 'Tofu Scramble' $12 Vine-Ripened Tomatoes, Green Onions, Tempeh Sausage (the menu still says 'Tempe Bacon') and Roasted Potatoes. It's a testament to the deliciousness of this meal that we continue to return, because the service is really not up to speed still...
Mr. SVegetarian enjoyed a side order of 'Sheila's Favorite Chocolate Croissants' $5. Today there were three of them all snuggled together...
'Miniature Crabby Cakes with Remoulade Sauce' $7 from The Randy Radish for lunch...
Assorted vegetables off the Wegman's Veggie Bar -- Tofu, Mushrooms, Cabbage and Cauliflower for dinner...
Reheated and served FF style...
A slice of 'Sweet Potato Pecan Pie' from The Randy Radish...
The grub may look better when the sun is up, but still tastes great even after sundown.

How were the crabby cakes? I love the ones we've had in Madison, especially with the sauce they put on them.

That's funny about your co-worker who gets squeamish around pickles. Mike's the same way with sauerkraut. He starts gagging if he smells it.

As long as the scramble is still vegan and delicious who cares what they call it.....! Those crabby cakes are so authentic looking its creepy- do they taste like the ocean? I wonder if they use some seaweed in there.
Your wegman's bowl FF style looks great! I'm impressed by their selection.

Hahaha- we were more of a sienfeld episode come to life than any intellectual gathering :)

good day of food! That pie looks interesting and the rest of your meals look divine!

Wish I could find a scramble like that without having to make it!

I ate tofu scramble nearly everyday last week, and thought I'd had enough, but Harriman's delicious plate reignites the desire! Yum!

Oooh, Randy Radish does it again! Both the crabby cakes and the pie sound fantastic. Nice looking take out from Wegman's.

Hey Now!!!!

RVs, based on what I've seen of your Madison grub, your Crabby Cakes are better, but these are great for our area. Mike sounds like a pregnant lady around sauerkraut. Now you know his weakness;-)

Unknown, the Crabby Cakes do taste like the real deal. I believe their base is Hearts of Palm of all things, but I could be wrong. I'd love to be in a Seinfeld episode come to life. Any conversion that is not about how hunting is great or how Obama sucks sounds good to me.

VGG, Tofu Scrambles have only become available to me outside the home within the last year or two. Hopefully, they'll come to your area soon as well.

Ingrid, did you add Tofutti Cream Cheese in your Scrambles?

FF style: all garbled.
Have you mentioned to Hariman's that their menu mistake might be a little misleading?

Do menus ever say "picked while green and ripened to mealy flavourless in cold storage somewhere tomatoes"?

Attention, Lolly-Gaggers,

Thanks for the Harrimans dining out advice, but at this time, it's an amazing feat just to get my order taken, have some portion of our food served, receive a semi-correct bill-of-fare and, finally, legally escaping before it's time for lunch. Maybe next year they'll be in good enough shape to have the menu issues addressed.

Sorry for the late comment! It's sad when a place with such great food has such crappy service. It's really frustrating, sometimes it seems like it is difficult to get both. At least Randy Radish makes up for it, the crabby cakes look great!! I feel like they have never made anything bad. It's great to have access to such high quality vegan food all the time :)
