Wednesday, June 12th

Half of a Cinnamon Roll from The Randy Radish for breakfast...
Mapo Tofu and Spring Rolls from PF Changs for lunch...
'Quinoa Avocado Salad' from The Randy Radish for dinner. Quinoa, Black Beans, Sweet Corn, Tomatoes, Red Onions, Cilantro and Avocado combined with a Light Lemony Dressing. It's like an upscale version of a Chipotle Veggie Burrito Bowl, much like VaVa made last year. This beautiful meal is a steal for $5.
My CSA haul from Potomac Vegetable Farms today was: Napa Cabbage, Escarole, Fennel, Garlic Scapes, Cucumbers....
Oregano (in lieu of Cilantro), Snap Peas and Lettuce Mix...
No dessert, I think I ate enough today.

No dessert makes me a sad panda, but I've definitely eaten enough sugar for the both of us, so there's that.

Mmmm glistening tofu.

I want a cinnamon roll morning! The quinoa avo salad is beautiful. Sounds really delicious too. It's an amazing combo.
Will be on the lookout for Vegan Treats, for sure.
Cannot wait to see how you use the garlic scapes. Did you wind up finishing everything from last week's CSA?

I agree, that gorgeous salad is a steal for five bucks. I'm jealous of your cinnamon roll. We haven't been able to find any around here for a while.

Look at all of the green in that CSA box!! Looks like a beautiful haul. Can't wait to see how you use everything! Did you request the oregano instead of cilantro? If so that's awesome ha!

Cinnamon roll! I can't remember the last time I had a cinnamon roll. Lunch looks great as always and that salad is gorgeous! Thanks for the shout out too :)

What a great looking cinnamon roll....! Those randy radish people are making some great grub- dinner sounds like a creative combo, i doodled down the ingredients to try.
And another great veggie haul- taste the garlic scapes, they can pack serious garlic-y flavor sometimes (then its best to cook them) yet other times taste mild and are nice raw in salads.

I'm officially following the Randy Radish all over social media and plan to find them very soon. It seems as though they aren't on a set schedule just yet, but I really, really, want to support their business, especially after your reviews. And that cinnamon roll. The quinoa salad looks pretty good, too. But mostly the cinnamon roll.

I'm actually not much of a fan of the Ma Po Tofu from PFC. They use silken tofu and I think it's a texture thing for me. But brown rice and broccoli is always great. I usually go for the vegetarian lettuce wraps as an entree instead.

It seems like everyone in the blogosphere is making garlic scape pesto these days. I had them in our CSA two summers ago and I think I just used them like green onions to top different meals.

Hey Now!!!!

Hannah, sometimes I eat dessert for breakfast. That's how I look at it.

FF, everything (except the Thyme) is now officially eaten from last weeks CSA haul. Tomorrow I'll start in on this new haul.

RVs, Wisconsin seems like a place that would really be big on Cinnamon Rolls -- both vegan and non.

VaVa, I told the CSA girl that I didn't want to take the Cilantro in my bag. It would just get wasted. She said I could sub another herb for it. That worked out really well. Although now I have a lot of Oregano...

Unknown, hard to tell since you refuse to blog, but it sounds like you eat a lot of salads with raw vegetables. I'm too scared to eat things raw before I've eaten them cooked.

Jared, the Randy Radish Cinnamon Roll will not disappoint. Plus it freezes really well, so stock up. I usually don't like Silken Tofu either, but I love how PFC does theirs. Weird. I was planning to make Bean Dip with the Garlic Scapes, but that could change...
