WTF Tuesday

Sarah Kramer Banana Pancakes with TJ's Maple Syrup for breakfast...
Lunch was the White Bean and Garlic Scapes Dip that I found on the NYTimes. Here is the recipe so you don't waste one of your 20 clicks on it:
1/3 cup sliced garlic scapes (3 to 4)
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice, more to taste
1/2 teaspoon coarse sea salt, more to taste
Ground black pepper to taste
1 can (15 ounces) cannellini beans, rinsed and drained
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil, more for drizzling.
1. In a food processor, process garlic scapes with lemon juice, salt and pepper until finely chopped. Add cannellini beans and process to a rough purée.
2. With motor running, slowly drizzle olive oil through feed tube and process until fairly smooth. Pulse in 2 or 3 tablespoons water, or more, until mixture is the consistency of a dip. Add more salt, pepper and/or lemon juice, if desired.
3. Spread out dip on a plate, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with more salt.
Yield: 1 1/2 cups.
On a toasted Ezekiel English Muffin it was okay, but not as good as Hummus. Perhaps it is better as a dip.
I used up the rest of the Napa Cabbage tonight making more of this recipe for Napa Cabbage with Soba Noodles In Peanut Sauce.
Gianduia Chocolate from The Fresh Market with White Chocolate Peanut Butter for dessert.
Work from depressing cube tomorrow. I foresee WF's hot bar.

That looks like one of the world's best desserts!

Mmmm pancakes! I'm having major breakfast cravings for pancakes and cold cereal (thanks to Ingrid, ha!). The spread sounds good but you know I love my hummus too. The noodle dish looks great and oh man that dessert. So perfect! I've never had the white chocolate peanut butter but it sounds delicious.

It stinks that you have to go into work tomorrow. Hopefully you can eat as well as you did today to make up for it a bit.

The spread sounds pretty delicious and I really need to find that peanut butter. White chocolate and peanut butter are such a great combo!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the hot bar (or pizza bar!) proves tasty.

The rest of your day looks great, but I am zeroing in on the cabbage and noodles in peanut sauce. Delicious!

You were so productive in the kitchen! Thanks for the recipe, NYT is so lame with the reading articles online situation. Maybe the white beans were too mild of a bean compared to chickpeas? Glad the special trip to the store recipe was worth a repeat. The nut butter on a nutty chocolate bar is genius.
I suspect the randy radish will help ease the pain of cubed working.....

Hummus is better because chickpeas > cannellini forever and ever amen.

Best dessert.

Hey Now!!!!

Blessed Mama, it really was a perfect dessert.

VaVa, the White Chocolate Peanut Butter tastes just like White Chocolate. It's really incredible how they accomplished that.

RVs, it totally does stink that I have to go into the office! Our full-time telecommuting boss actually got mad at a co-worker of mine today because the coworker refused to accept a 5pm conference call. (We all leave at 4pm to beat the traffic).

Ingrid, WF's didn't have any Pizza out today (except for leftover Breakfast Pizza), but the Hot Bar did not disappoint.

Unknown, WFH leads to a couple extra hours in the day to accomplish things at home like doing laundry or making Dip. The Randy Radish has yet to disappoint.

Hannah, oh now you tell me! I'm stuck with quite a bit of Cannelini Dip.
