Saturday, June 1st

After sleeping in late, Mr. SV & I headed to Berkeley Springs for lunch at Earth Dog Cafe. I had the 'Veggie Sandwich' $7.25 Hummus, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Onions, Corn Relish, Black Olives and Banana Peppers on Ciabatta Bread. The grub was good, but service was dismal.
On the up side, Mr. SV made Spaghetti with TJ's Meatless Meatballs for dinner...
The last of the Chocolate Chip Cookies from The Common Market for dessert..
Planning to try and track down some different local vegan grub tomorrow.  Will I succeed?

Ugh annoying that the service sucked but at least the meal was good. Looks like a good sandwich for sure. At least Mr. SVegetarian made you a yummy dinner. I bet the service was better too. Oh man those cookies look good. I could definitely do damage on those.

Hope your search brings you fun new eats.

Having bad service is one of my biggest pet peeves. At least the food was good, but still.

I'm glad Mr. SV made up for it with that awesome spaghetti.

Good luck on finding a new place!

Well done, Mister, on knowing how to service the Missus with delicious pasta.

Somewhere with a patio and good food. . . I'm sending you these vibes right now, may they come true tomorrow!

You can and WILL succeed. Banana peppers aren't something I've seen often, so it's good to know they're still shouldering sandwiches. Corn relish sounds good too.

Can't go wrong with a good sarnie and those meatballs look yum!! I've never heard of banana peppers before, I've just googled them and it would seem they're some sort of chilli, happy days! Will have to see if I can find one somewhere. Happy eating!

Hey Now!!!!

VaVa, service was so bad, we only left 15% on a pretty cheap meal.

Molly, I'm usually okay with bad service. I guess it was more a 'cluelessness' that irritated the crap out of us.

Ingrid, your good vibes worked!!!!! You should do that more often. I need it.

FF, Banana Peppers are best known as the Hot Pepper you get on a Domino's Pizza or Subway Sub. Kind of a retro Pepper.

Hannah, we went forth and ate successfully!

Lana, you aren't missing anything with these Peppers. They're rather mild. If they were worth pursuing, I would tell you so.
