Saturday, May 26th

TJ's Cream Cheese and Cucumber on WF's Pumpernickle for breakfast.
Lunch was a Black Bean Burger at the Alamo Cinema and Drafthouse while watching 'Men In Back III in 3D'. I didn't dare take a pic cuz the theatre really pounds into the audience that no disturbances (texting in particular) of any kind will be tolerated during the feature.

(Imagine pic here)

Chicky got his/her cast off today and on the way home from the vet, I saw this turtle crossing the double lane 55 mph highway. I was able to make a u-turn and grab it before it was too late. (This pic was taken on our driveway)
Here is the Turtle being released into our backyard. We are of the belief it is an Eastern Painted Turtle.

The last of Blessed Mama's Maple Glazed Seitan Roast with HP Sauce and a Baked Potato for dinner.

A couple squares of a  Theo Cherry Almond Bar for dessert.
Coming up tomorrow: No food plans whatsoever.  Let's hope it is a good food day.

You are so amazing with all of your animal rescues! The turtle is so cute! I'm glad you were able to get him/her in time! :) Hooray for Chicky too!

Your meals look great, as always! Sounds like you had a fun day at the movies! It also sounds like a fancypants theatre :) I'm sure tomorrow will be a great food day as well!

I would love to go to a cinema where I could eat vegan grub. That's so cool!

The turtle is very lucky that you came along. So, so adorable. <3

You did a U-turn on a highway?? Were you going the legal speed to be able to see the turtle? She's a lucky little one.
Funny you mention mib3 in 3D, I was about to head to see it tonight but ehhh. How was it?

You're ahead of me - I've yet to see a 3D movie. Adult beverages and movies happen here too, but I think there's only one place that does a full meal as well.

Two for one! Chicky and turtle must both be very greatful.

I hope you're having a fantastic long weekend!

Beautiful turtle. I'm glad you saved it. I would have been afraid to pick it up.

Hey Now!!!!

VaVa, you were right! It was a great food day!

GFHTummy, thanks for looking!

Molly, we can only hope the turtle has a long happy life. The odds of it successfully crossing the highway were very slim.

FF, I passed the turtle when it was headng south across the two westbound lanes of Route 7. At the first cut-through, I went eastbound on Route 7, then when I got past the turtle location, I cut through and went westbound again.

MIBIII in 3D was fantastic. It was $10/ticket for a matinee for us. Personally, if money is an issue, I'd recommend putting the extra cost of a 3D showing towards a different movie. There weren't any aliens or goo flying into the audience.

Ingrid, well, Chicky and Turtle might have been much better off had I never crossed their paths. I meant well.

Miss Rachel, I once tried to move a Snapping Turtle off a road. Talk about ungrateful!
