The artichoke denuded kinda looks like a sunflower head.
Haha nice artichoke shots! I'm impressed that you were able to get some cooking done during your lunch hour! Very impressive :) I so desperately want to work from home!
Your ice cream with syrup looks great! What kind of syrup did you use?
Very daring, indeed, but it works! Maud is right- it does kind of look like a sunflower head.
I'm glad it's finally approaching ice cream season!
Just you wait, when tomato season hits - and it joins the perfection of cucumber and cream cheese - that will be another breakfast option.
How fresh are the allegedly fresh grapefruit?
That breakfast looks so delicious that it bears multiple repeats. Lovely artichoke heart there. I KNOW the heart is the special part of the artichoke, but was there any "meat" on the leaves? I mean, you do at least scrape those between your teeth as you work your way though to the heart, don't you?
Hey Now!!!!
FF, the denuded 'choke does look like a Sunflower head. Wonder if the Sunflower and the Artichoke are relatives?
VaVa, that Chocolate Syrup is Ahlaska! brand. I copied the link, but I guess it doesn't stand out. If anyone can be trusted to work from home, it's you.
Molly, can't wait to see what vegan frozen delights showcase from Wisconsin.
Ingrid, you're too funny. These 'allegedly fresh' Grapefruit make me think that my neighbor must not be liking my Mom too much these days. Today's Grapefruit actually had the seeds in it starting to sprout, still tasted okay though.
Miss Rachel, the $1.29 Artichokes from TJ's had some 'meat' on the leaves. They're the best I've found so far. I dip and scrape like a fiend whilst working my way through. It's a great pleasure.
