Saturday, May 12th

This mornings breakfast was the French Toast Platter $9.95 at Sticky Fingers. Comes with Tofu Scramble and Cheesy Grits. This was the best food I've ever had from Sticky Fingers. Worth the trip to D.C., plus there were tons of adorable pups out and about the Columbia Heights neighborhood today.
Lunch was Spicy Cha Cha (Fried Vegan Shrimp) $8.95 at Loving Hut. Another fantastic meal.
I couldn't drop the ball after all this great grub, therefore Blessed Mama's Maple Glazed Seitan Roast with HP Sauce and Steamed Broccoli for dinner. No flash, lest I sear FF's mole rat eyes. I'm really making an effort here.
Coming up tomorrow: Picking up non-vegan grub to bring to the woman who gave birth to me.

How long IS the drive to DC? The breakfast definitely does look worth some effort, though. Was Loving Hut in DC too, or had you turned back by then?
Dinner looks beautiful too, especially cuz I'm not blind.

I love the look of everything here! I've definitely got some food envy going on! I've been eating all raw for the past week...feels good, but man, cooked food just tastes so yummy...as yummy as all this looks.

I agree with Maud, very nice dinner pic!

Wow, that's a great food day! Your breakfast looks spectacular. I've never had grits, but would love to try them, especially cheezy ones.

Yes and yes! A great food day, and it sounds like great weather if the canines were out and about. Sticky Fingers has such an amazing menu, was there much of a wait to get in?

WOW what a perfect food day! That breakfast platter looks absolutely perfect! I've had grits before but never the cheesy variety and that sounds really savory and yummy!

Your lunch looks great too! I have always wanted to try the vegan "seafood" from the Loving Hut but never have. Maybe I'll have to try some next time. Dinner looks great as always!

Hey Now!!!!

FF, we are about an hour outside DC, but once in DC, one has to account for traffic/looking for parking. You wear such big thick glasses, I thought you might be myopic. My bad.

Rose, stay raw! Cooked food is addictive! Be strong!

Molly, never had Grits?! Tell Mike to cook you up some Grits! Emma and Rowan would love them too.

Ingrid, there is no wait to order at Sticky Fingers, just a looong wait for the food to actually come out. Hope you get to try it one day.

VaVa, it WAS a perfect food day! So glad I experienced it.
