Ode To A Grecian Soup (and more great grub)

Lunch was Stella's Lentil Soup at Mom's Place. Wish she'd share her secret recipe cuz this is the stuff that life-saving transfusions are made of...
Dinner was Tofu & Baby Bok Choy sauteed in TJ's Toasted Sesame Oil. No, not trying to copy Zoa. I'm still working up to that. Tofu and Bok Choy -- a match made in heaven!
Dessert was a slice of Blessed Mama's White Cake with White Butter Cream. This cake is light and moist and absolutely spectacular. The frosting a perfectly sweet accompaniment to the fluffy cake. No, it may not be snow white, but that is my fault for using non-white Sugar, Vanilla, Earth Balance.
Black Swan Merlot...

I could go for some bok choy right now...well, maybe not NOW since it's midnight, but, like, tomorrow.

You made that cake so quickly! I wouldn't have doubted that it is wonderful, glad to see you're enjoying it.

If you know Mom's lentil soup is Grecian, that could be a clue - or you can just let her place keep cooking it up for you.

Blessed Mama is very persuasive. I made her pumpkin roll.

Hey Shen, do you buy wine from Trader Joes? We just got a Trader Joes here and they have that 2.99 deal wine. I thought of you when I saw it :)

Hello, Ladies & Germ!!!!

Michelle1, maybe you should try baking in the middle of the day instead of the middle of the night?

FF, Bok Choy is really great and cooks up so quickly!

Jessica, I've been scouring the internet for Greek Lentil Soup recipes. Coming up empty.

Jenny, Blessed Mama's Pumpkin Roll is next on my list.

Carissa, yes, I do enjoy the wine deals at Trader Joes.

Does the Grecian soup taste sort of molasses-y? I ask because I used to order the lentil soup in a Greek restaurant near my university, and it was delicious. It always tasted like there was a hint of molasses or brown sugar or something in it, but I could never replicate the taste at home. I wonder what the Greeks use for their secret ingredient.

And Carissa says wine for 2.99? I could afford to drink a lot more...I'll have to get my act together and go to TJs.
