Boca, Bok Choy and BDay Parties

Lunch was the Boca Burger from Red Robin. It was my first time patronizing this restaurant and it was an unusually positive experience. Not only was my carryout order ready when I arrived but they actually got it right -- no cheese or mayo.

Dessert was a slice of Blessed Mama's White Cake with White Butter Cream. This cake channels the memories of my childhood birthday parties where everyone would get strung out on sugar and knock over tables and chairs. General rampaging ensued.

I bet that white cake you made tastes a lot better than the chemical-tasting frosting I remember from birthday parties. How do you cook your tofu? It looks good; I'm usually nervous to just eat tofu by itself unless it's seasoned and cooked really well!

Oh, I thought you were having a birthday party. Switching between two cakes sounds so good - I have had mixed results with Red Robin. They are very popular here.

The Red Robin food looks pretty yummy...there's just something about restaurant burgers that makes them better than home cooked ones...not sure what it is. And, I'm liking the bok choy/tofu trend; it looks so tasty, but also light.

I also have fond memories of childhood sugar rampages...some of it must have stuck, cuz I still knock over chairs on a regular basis.

Hello, Ladies!!!

Dianne, yes, Blessed Mama's cake totally makes me feel like a ten year old without the toxic side-effects. I've been in a simple Tofu mood lately, so I'm only using a bit of Soy Sauce & some Sesame Oil to cook. You wouldn't like it.

Jessica, finally! Something that you have in Cincy that we have here!

Rose, you're so right. Even a Boca Burger tastes better when I don't have to make them.

Did you put any of the Red Robbin seasoning on your fries?

Childhood sugar...oh yeah, those were the days...that cake looks delish!
