Saturday, January 3rd

All Native Foods. All day. My 'Chicken Run Ranch Burger' was tasty and light...
We tried the Kid's Meal of Freddie's Mac & Cheese, Fries and Watermelon. The Mac & Cheese was decent, but we dont anticipate ordering it again...the Soy & Gluten Free Pasta was a little tough...
FYI, Kombucha is on sale this week at Whole Foods for $2/bottle. Incredible deal...
the Pups and I finished my leftover 'Rockin Moroccan Bowl' for dinner that I had picked up last week...
Dessert was a small piece of the huge 'Chocolate Peanut Butter Whoopie Pie'...
Zen Kitty loves the local newspapers...
Bye for now.

Love love the animals pics today!!
The veggies and thin onion for that burger are such great additions. Not sure i would have been brave enough to try a gf vegan mac n cheese- i haven't tried many gf pastas but those i have tried i regretted.
The moroccan meal seems like one of those that are almost better as leftovers after the flavors marry together. And that whoopie pie! Wooow.

Yup, there's Home Depot near 57th st- got my new lightswitch plates and shower curtain rod plus randomness like lightbulbs and power strips. Nothing compared to the epic trip to Ikea today- god willing i don't have to return for another 10yrs or so. My best friend came with me and i'm sure if i had been alone i would still be there in a crumpled exhausted overwhelmed wad in the pick your furniture aisles of hell. Elderflower soda was potentially the highlight of the day.

Yay for critter pics!!! So adorable! Loving all Native Foods all day. The sandwich looks so incredible and the fries look perfectly crispy. Too bad the Mac and cheese wasn't great, it actually looks really good. I haven't had a problem with gluten free pasta, I wonder what kind they use.

So good to know about the kombucha, maybe I'll pick some up tomorrow. That whooping pie is a perfect way to end the day!

I just bought little JK one of those whoopie pies yesterday, and he ate the whole thing in less than ten minutes. He's got you beat!

I've got to stop by Whole Foods, I guess, then.
The chicken sandwich looks really great. Yr killing me over here. Co-workers and I were lamenting the vegan places that have closed. I feel like maybe that's the difference between VA and NY - we have some good options up here but it's too expensive for them to stick around! You guys, on the other hand, can only get more options. Here, we get hooked and then NY taketh away.

Hey Now!!!!!!

Unknown, you are seriously nesting. I like to replace the door and cabinet knobs when I move someplace new (Mr. SV is into replacing the toilet seats). I love Ikea but can no longer get to one -- they're all two hours away. The Ikea cafeteria was so good in my pregan days (always got a slice of the Apple Cake with Vanilla Sauce). I have always wanted to got to ABC Home -- thnk you'll hit up that place for more touches? Looks like it has cool stuff.

Sarah, Whooping Pie?! i hope not! it is Whoopie Pie (like Goldberg).

Blessed Mama, the days of my being able to consume so much fat and sugar in one shot are unfortunately long gone.

FF, the rent is too damn high is what you're sayin! I just hope Essa Bagel, Candle Cafe and Wild Ginger stay in business. It is not looking good for my ever returning to NYC, but if I do, those are the places I intend to hit.
