First meal of the New Year thoroughly enjoyed at True Food Kitchen: Andy's Tempeh Lettuce and Tomato Sandwich with Kale Salad (no cheese)...
Sipped a Suja later in the day whilst pondering FF. What is her deal anyway?
Picked up the New Year's Day special of Good Luck Black-Eyed Peas, Super Kale and Penne Pasta with Seitan and Tofu Ricotta Cheese from Loving Hut for dinner...
Fruit and Nut Bar for dessert....

Happy New Year! Looks like a great way to start off your year. If your first meal is any indication it looks like you will certainly be eating well this year. Fruit and nut chocolate is my favorite kind of chocolate bar so I'm loving this dessert :)
Is the Suja from WholeFoods? I am going on Monday, I want to pick some up if it's there :) it looks so good!
Ha! Whaddaya mean, what's my deal??
I don't know that I've seen that Suja, but I had another one today too.
The sandwich looks really good. Any avo on there?
I know black eyed peas are lucky for New Years, but I haven't heard about the other stuff.
Mmm...sandwich...
Spoke with Grandma in Falls Church yesterday, and she had black eyed peas too. My mother made them for my father, too, so hopefully they have all ingested good luck enough for the year!
So glad True Food figured out how to get your order right!!
Mmmm, sounds like a good food day. I like dinner especially.
Hey Now!!!!!
Sarah, the Suja is from WF's. It is an expensive treat. Costs about $1 per minute of drinking pleasure.
FF, lots of ripe Avocado on the Sandwich. Moy delicioso! the Greens on New Years signify money in hopes one will become rich, but i know you're not into all that old folk tale mumbo jumbo.
Jenny, Sandwiches are my favorite food;-)
Ingrid, ingesting good luck does sound sort of silly. Cant hurt though. Yes, we found a server at True Food Kitchen that understands what 'vegan' means. He is very sharp.
Blessed Mama, I anticipate tomorrow being an even better food day. Come back to see.
