Friday, January 2nd

The obvious for breakfast...
Native Foods Chili with Cornbread for lunch...
the other half of my New Years Day meal from Loving Hut for dinner...
A Cinnamon Sugar Donut from Sticky Fingers for dessert...
More potentially delicious vegan grub tomorrow. Bye for now.

Awesome year for you so far!! And black eyed peas and greens two days in a row must mean extra good luck in your future :) I had my black eyed peas and some kale yesterday - first time i've remembered to have both on new years day.
Loving hut dinner looks lovely tonight too but we all know that donut is the star of this post..! I love that you have donuts as dessert instead of for breakfast like regular people do (I can't handle that much sweetness first thing in the morning)

I already found fabulous coffee in the new 'hood at Lenox coffee. They brew and use Stumptown beans (great stuff) and offer both soy and almond milk! A gorgeous almond milk o'lait powered me thru a trip to home depot today

I'm with Unknown, you're already eating some great stuff. That doughnut looks fantastic!
Was the chili leftovers, or a separate takeout?
There's a lot of good food I always want to eat, but I need to save money so it's the same old lentils and vegetables for me for a while. Not much to blog about.

Hey Now!!!!!

Unknown, the Donut was a winner. My latest carryout ffrom Sticky Fingers has potentially made me change my tune about them. Is there a Home Depot in Manhattan? They are usually so humongous I would imagine it would take up at least an entire city block. Cool that you are handy enough to shop there solo. The Coffee drink sounds like it would be gone before hitting the front doors.

FF, separate takeout on the Chili. What are you saving money for? still planning to depart Queens for greener pastures?
