Thursday, December 25th

This drink should be renamed 'By The Window' because that is where I drank it. Chocolatey goodness should be available year round...
Native Food's Smokey Split Pea Soup with a Sticky Finger's Challah Roll for lunch...
TJ's Chickenless Chicken for dinner...
Sarah's Cookies n Cream Peppermint Bark for dessert...
Bye for now.

Hahaha, "By the Window" is very poetic, but it just reminds me of that horrible Lil Jon song "Get Low." Don't look it up if you don't know it. What, you didn't decorate the house with mistletoe all over?
The split pea soup looks amazing.
You off work tomorrow?

Stock up on the suja while they still have it! Native foods has sure been good to you lately- their entire menu sounds wonderful. Why doesn't TJs have one of those prepared salads with the chickenless strips?
The bark is such a perfect holiday dessert!

We had the field roast breakfast sausages this morning- they were a huge hit!! In a stroke of irony i actually disliked the, because they tasted too "meaty" to me- ha! But the parents, sister, nephew and aunt all wanted to see the package to buy them again :) I've been munching steamed artichokes, beautiful fresh broccoli, and kale from my sister's garden.... The parents enjoyed the vegan mushroom wild rice soup i made for dinner. Every meal counts if you ask me.

That drink sounds so festive and perfect. Do you get that at Whole Foods? I'm so curious now! Maybe I'll make a trip over there on Monday.

That challah roll is everything. I'm so jealous of it. The soup looks pretty incredible too. Glad you got some mileage out of that bark! Peppermint chocolate bookended your day today :)

Their holiday portraits are up on the blog today! Had to wait for them to send their card out before I could post :) Hope you had a nice holiday!

Hey Now!!!!!

FF, if i know any Lil John songs, I am unaware of it. No Mistletoe here, although I saw some for sale at Trader Joes. Yep, I worked today, how about you? Lots of book returns today?

Unknown, I guess I could add the Chickenless Strips myself to their Salad. Great idea. I didnt think the Field Roast Sausage tasted like the real thing, but whatever it tasted like was good. Hope your family switches to faux sausage full time. Are Artichokes in season all year? i thought they were a spring crop, but i see them on Christmas platters. Absolutely every meal counts -- we only get three a day!

Sarah, I did get the drink at WFs. It was enjoyable, but had 290 calories! must be the Cocoa. Only three more Challah Rolls left, I should have bought more. Your brother & SIL waited till the last minute to send out their cards. So unique and inventive, How can they top it next year?
