A slightly un-ripe Pear for breakfast...
My odd numbered Gardein Beefless Burger with Oven Fries for lunch...
Mr. SVegetarian brought in dinner from Loving Hut. I got the 'Sauteed Jalapeno Tofu' again. Spicier than last time, but still great....
Half a piece of Sweet n Natural's Vaniilla Chocolate Creme Cake for dessert...

Everything looks wonderful. It's been a while since I've had tofu, it seems and sauteed with jalapeno sounds great.
Too bad about the pear - I love them when they're ripe. Usually I buy Anjous.
Pears break my heart every time. Too ripe/too hard/mooshy middle/tough skin... I'm still sticking to honeycrisps.
Did the bonus burger taste better??
Those are some serious jalapeno hunks in the tofu...((yikes!)) how do you manage the spicy? They always say a glass of dairy milk but obviously that's not happening. I wonder if a glass of hemp or coconut milk would work...
Around here crazy and wealthy are not mutually exclusive- in fact i suspect there is a link between the two. I went to a housewarming party and my fabulous friend had made a vegan orange olive red onion and white bean salad just for me and her friend who keeps kosher! It was a great combo. I think she's the same neighborhood in brooklyn as FF actually....

Bonus burgers are always the best one in the pack ;) especially when accompanied by oven fries. Your Loving Hut meals always look amazing... I can't wait to go back when I visit my friend (hopefully in February, fingers crossed!). Unripe pears are always so disappointing. I don't have much luck with pears, sadly.
Aww poor Mr. SVeg having to watch you eat that bark ;) I wish I would have sent more! It's so easy to make though.
Hey Now!!!!
FF, Jalapeno Tofu is great. LH could have turned down the heat a little bit on this batch. I think this was a D'Anjou Pear. My bad for not waiting for it to ripen fully.
Unknown, the bonus Burger did taste somewhat illegal, but i got past it, just like I got past the Jalapenos. I suppose being pushed in a baby carriage, though humiliating, beats being dragged on a leash. Orange, Olive, Red Onion and White Bean Salad?! What a strange combo! FF lives in Ridgewood, Queens. I have actually learned a lot of geography by vegan blogging;-)
Sarah, I think one has to be patient to get a good Pear. I am not giving up. I gave up on Peaches years ago and look how I missed out. This was my first bad Pear of the year anyway. You haaaad to put the Bark in the little box. Mr. SV keeps saying "it's in the little box".
