Thursday, September 11th

I bought a packet of Garden of Life Protein Powder without reading the ingredients list...
Stevia tastes really nasty to me, but I downed the entire drink...
LPQ Gazpacho for lunch helped get the Stevia taste out of my mouth...
Gardein Beefless Burgers and Mashed Potatoes with Roads End Shitake Gravy for dinner also helped...
the rest of the Sweet n Natural Chocolate Vanilla Creme Cake for dessert, helpful still, but the Stevia taste lingers...
May take days to rid myself of the taste. Lunch with Mom tomorrow is a maybe. Bye for now.

How did I miss the vanilla cream in the center of the cake the first time around?! That looks so good. I don't mind stevia but I know some people really hate it. Maybe a cocktail with Mom tomorrow will help get that taste out of your mouth :)

I was quite seriously contemplating buying some Gazpacho the other night when I picked up the soup, but realized I wanted something hot. I really am going to try it, promise. We have a couple of warm days in the extended forecast - I'll pencil it in then.

Alright, you will MAYBE have a sandwich for lunch with mom. ;)

I agree with Sarah - stevia took me some time to get into but I like it now. Too much can understandably be overkill, though. I like that brand of protein powder but it's best mixed with other stuff.
Shiitake gravy sounds delicious. Relish and gravy really makin that meal.

Stevia really can make something good bad.... The only version i haven't totally hated is Truvia- but i'm cheap and don't love it so i use splenda in my coffee(s) most of the time. Glad you just got a packet and not a whole canister!

Gorgeous gazpacho as always. I miss CA tomatoes already.....
Mashed potatoes? Do you add in earth balance and a splash of whatever milk? That gravy looks crazy thick, mushroom gravy is good on almost anything.

Maybe a teaspoon of agave or coconut sugar will get the fake sugar stevia taste out.

I thought I was the only one who can't stand stevia! It is in this green tea that I bought, and I can't drink it! But it seems like a ton of people really really love it!

Hey Now!!!!

Sarah, the Steviia taste lingers, but maybe by tomorrow it will be gone.

Ingrid, please do not try Gazpacho on my account. I didnt care much for it till I tried LPQ's version. Sad to say, there was no lunch out today. Had there been a lunch, it would have been a Sandwich though,

FF, cant imagine forcing myself to like Stevia. I am still trying to force myself to like Beets.

Unknown, shocked that you would use Splenda. Yes, I used Hemp Milk and EB for the Mashed Potatoes. You sound like the vegan Mary Poppins: a teaspoon of agave helps the medicine go down.

VP, if you're like me, you'll keep the Green Tea for the rest of your life rather than throw it out.
