Dill Pickle Chips at Clare and Don's Beach Shack to start the day...
although we wanted them as an appetizer, they came with the entrees. No biggie. My Blackened Tofu Sandwich...
After Clare and Don's, I hightailed it down 66 to the new Capriotti's that opened in Rosslyn three weeks ago...
just part of my 12" Veggie Turkey Sub for dinner. The Sandwich was as great as the carryout Mr. SVegetarian has brought back from Delaware. The people working there were so accomodating wrapping up the Turkey, Lettuce and Tomato separately from the Bread till ready for consuming...
About 8" left to enjoy tomorrow. Bye for now.

This is definitely a perfect food day! How have I not tried fried pickles yet?! I need to get on that. The sandwich looks great as always. Look at you traveling for your dinner. I love that they wrap everything separately, it's really smart... especially since it'll be consumed over several days. Definitely a successful weekend!

Great sunday food day! I get overly annoyed when restaurants screw up the when an appetizer comes out- mostly because if i ordered an app its because i want food NOW and am easily annoyed when hungry....
The pickle chips have such a great looking crunchy outside!
Very exciting to have an excellent sandwich place near (is it?) to you, sounds like they are true professionals with the seperate wrapping.
There must be a hungry vegan buying all the no bull burgers before you get there.

I like when you go to this Beach Shack. Do you ever get any drinks? Beachy food (esp. pickle chips) seems like you would need a cold beer to enjoy with it. What is the sauce they give you with the chips? A friend and I are supposed to meet up at The Pickle Shack in Park Slope later today, but I don't know if I'll eat any chips!

Hey Now!!!!

Sarah, Fried Pickles are a pretty common thing these days. You will try them soon, I am sure. I think a lot of folks get Capriotti Subs to go for friends and family, since their shops are currently few and far between.

Unknown, this was an unusual circumstance to have the Apps come out with the Entrees. Good thing I wasnt with my Mother or, well, it would not be pleasant. I am determined to try those No Bull Burgers, but it could be the stores around here dont have enough shelf space to stock all the flavors.

FF, the Pickle Shack menu looks amazing! you have to get an Al Green Sandwich for me! oh so jealous! and, I did want a beer yesterday, but Mr. SV ordered me iced tea while I was in the restroom, so I just went with that. I gues the sauce was vegan Tartar?
