Sunday, March 2nd

Harrimans for breakfast this morning. The 'Tofu Scramble' $12 Vine Ripened Tomatoes, Green Onions, Tempeh Bacon (Sausage?) and Roasted Potatoes with a Roasted Tomato. Service was very attentive today. Guess the staff is starting to recognize us from our repeated visits, so nothing went amiss....
Got to 'canoodle' with Paolo the Golden Doodle, before breakfast. So soft and gentle. He is a big fan of the resort...
An Easy Soba Noodle Bowl for dinner. The recipe was easy as advertised, it was certainly photogenic, but the dish as a whole didn't wow me. I won't be making it again...
NuGo Chocolate Pretzel Bar for dessert...
Ready to be snowed in again tomorrow.

Oh no, that's too bad you didn't like the soba bowl!! That looks like a perfect meal to me, and Gena's stuff is usually really good. maybe the whole dish just needed a sauce or something.
Those NuGo bars are pretty good and you're probably right in eating it as dessert, I'd usually justify it as a snack

How is "Paolo the Golden Doodle" not a euphemism?

I agree with Maud, the noodle bowl looks good but might have been missing a sauce. I checked out the link, and it does sound kind of plain.

In addition to recognizing you at Harriman's, they must have told the kitchen staff - this plate looks particularly photogenic!

I could use a snow day, too. Alas, we're going to approach the sixties by Wednesday and Thursday. Spring, perhaps?!?!

Glad they are finally nice to you at brunch- and what an adorable dog!
I know what you mean about dinner, sometimes a simple bowl meal can be too.......simple. Like something is missing. That bar looks like a fancy rice krispie treat!

And i knooooowwww you can't find the miso eggpant, that's why i sent the recipe link......
Hope the snow doesn't hit you too hard- they were predicting a ton for nyc tonight but its midnight and we've got nuthin'.

An adorable pup, good service and a delicious meal is definitely a great brunch. At least they finally got their act together with the service and the meal does look extra delicious.

That's sad about the noodle dish because it really is a lovely meal. I bet a sauce would really jazz it up. At least your avocado was beautiful?

Hey Now!!!!

FF, assume the problem was with me, not the Soba Bowl.

Hannah, what does 'Golden Doodle' mean in Aussie speak?!

Ingrid, how much snow do you guys need to get to qualify for a 'snow day'?! Heard about that 104 car pile-up out there.

Unknown, I knooooowwwwww that's why you posted the recipe link but I just wanted to remind you that I'm still on the lookout for that Miso Eggplant (not that it really exists but what evs). We only got 3" at our house. False alarm apparently.

Sarah, should've used the Avocado for a facial a la FF.
