WTF Thursday

Sarah Kramers Banana Pancakes with TJ's Maple Syrup for breakfast (I'm out of sausages)....
Dawson's Market Artichoke Salad for lunch. Speaking of which, there's something positive in the news: an Artichoke glut for 2014! Unless you're an Artichoke farmer, then it's not such great news...
Mushroom Ravioli for dinner...
I've never been able to find the WF's Vegan Ravioli again since that one time last year...
So Delicious Mocha Fudge for dessert...
Lunch with Mom tomorrow.

A simple, yet satisfying food day! Looking forward to seeing what you and the Moms are eatin'.

I had no idea there was such a surplus of artichokes! I'll have to pick some up soon.

My gut says Mexican, but based on your recent history patterns: sandwiches.

No soysage in the house?! I've always though your fridge was packed to the top with faux meats.....
Was the lunch artichoke fresh? Or jarred? I can't tell. I grew up not far from castroville ca where they grow a zillion artichokes, we had them all the time just steamed with mayo to dip. Good stuff.
The raviolis look great, and mushroom anything is a plus.

Glad you can see why i have to accost mason every chance i can-his mom mentioned in passing she cooks for him! At least he is properly spoiled.

I got really excited about the artichoke news, but then I remembered I'll likely be back in Aus in 2015. Dammit.

Speaking as an artichoke farmer, ... oh wait, no, never mind. Bring on the glut.
So there's no ricotta in the ravioli, just vegetables? Interesting. What makes that a ravioli and not a pierogi?

Hey Now!!!!

Blessed Mama, it was indeed a simple day yesterday. Today was a little more complicated. Tomorrow will be downright complex, if things go according to plan.

Ingrid, I'm guessing the Artichokes are still working they're way east. I've yet to see any fresh ones in the store. Your gut is reading my Margarita-loving Mother's signals. Sandwiches was a decent guess. Close, as they say, but no (vegan chocolate) cigar.

Unknown, if I was willing to root around amongst the other old processed food items in the fridge, I'd probably find a forgotten faux meat or two, but making that kind of effort is not my style. The Artichoke Salad was off the Salad Bar, it was marinated yet it's not jarred.. I'm more than ready to start dipping my spring 'chokes in Vegenaisse! Mason is utterly incredible. I hope his mom gently steams organic vegetables and grains to nourish his stout little body.

Hannah, 'dammit'?! Don't you want to go back to Australia? I'm sure there will be a glut of something down there that you will benefit from.

FF, what makes a Pierogi not a Ravioli?
